| Due to the characteristics of network data transmission, waiting in the mobile internet has become a common experience in people's life.It is worth studying whether the waiting in the mobile Internet has an important influence on user experience or not.In addition, with the enhancement of homogeneity and substitutability of mobile applications, the demands of users on quality and usability of applications also raised. Therefore, the first impression generated by the user after opening an application becomes particularly important. The filler interface design and waiting time in the loading page of the mobile application may determine the user's attitude. This study explored filler interfaces of open-loading page in the mobile applications based on user's perceived waiting time.Three important factors were selected,i.e.,filling content, objective loading time, and relevance between filling content and application,to study whether these factors affect user's perceived waiting time and behavioral intention. The results showed that all the three factors had significant effects on user's perceived waiting time. The perceived waiting time was shortened accompanied by the increasing of the richness of filler interface. The content relevance to the application also shorten the users' perceived waiting time.As objective waiting time grew, the perceived waiting time became longer. Moreover, the objective loading time and content relevance had an interactive effect on users' perceived waiting time. With the increasing of objective waiting time, the influence of content relevance on user's perceived waiting time increased gradually. The results also revealed that these three factors did affect users' behavioral intentions through perceived waiting time. With the importance of perceived waiting time confirmed,it is necessary to explore its internal factors.Previous studies showed that the differences of perceived waiting were caused by user's different attention and emotional state,so this study investigated user's attention and emotional state in different filler interfaces through eye-tracking technique. The results indicated that interfaces filled with content attracted more user's attention and generated higher arousal and pleasure than unfilled interfaces. The objective loading time and content relevance also significantly affected user's cognition and emotional state. With the prolongation of objective loading time, the user's total attention levels increased and emotional reaction levels decreased, while no significant changes in attention in per unit time. However, both levels of attention and emotional reaction measured from related interfaces turned out significant higher than that of unrelated interfaces. |
