Finger vein recognition technology is a new biometric identification technology,based on the blood flowing in human fingers can absorb specific wavelengths of light.Using a specific wavelength of light to illuminate the finger,a clear image of the finger's vein pattern can be obtained and the identity can be identified,which is One of the key representatives of second generation biometrics technology.Compared with the DNA identification and fingerprint recognition methods widely used in the first-generation biometrics technology,fingerprint recognition of finger veins has three characteristics:internal features,liveness,and non-contact,which makes the finger vein pattern recognition easy to accept and convenient features.However,at present,finger vein pattern recognition systems based on PC,ARM,and DSP all have the problems of slow finger vein registration and recognition.Therefore,in this paper,the inherent characteristics of FPGA parallel processing are used to study the design and implementation of finger vein pattern image acquisition and recognition system based on FPGA as the main control chip.The main research work of this article is as follows:A.According to the characteristics of FPGA,the Finger Vein Feature Extract ion Algorithm which is suitable for implementation on FPGA is designed,and th e proposed algorithm is simulated and analyzed in MATLAB.After collecting 50 pairs of middle finger and index fingers of the right and left hands of each pe rson,a total of 2000 finger vein pattern images were tested.The results showe d that the proposed finger vein feature extraction algorithm is simple and effici ent and can be implemented in FPGA with an error rate of 0.1%.B.Finger vein pattern identification hardware system with FPGA as the ma in control chip is designed.The system includes three modules: finger vein patt ern image acquisition device,image processing module and matching display m odule.OmniVision's OV5640 CCD image sensor is used as an photoelectronic ima ging devicesimaging device.The USB2.0 controller chip CY7C68014 A is directly c onnected to the FPGA.The video data of the HD CCD module is processed bythe FPGA and transmitted to the USB chip,and finally matched and display o n the PC.C.Realize the key algorithm based on FPGA finger vein pattern recognition technology.Using Verilog HDL hardware language,some key algorithms of ima ge feature extraction and matching recognition of finger vein pattern proposed i n this paper are implemented and simulated.
