World Radiocommunication Conference(WRC)in 2015 chaired by International Telecommunication Union(ITU)proposed 5G higher frequency bands covering 11 candidate bands between 24.25-86 GHz.Among these candidates,26 GHz frequency band is more popular in the worldwide with its lower frequency and larger bandwidth. This thesis first introduces the background and significance of the global 5G frequency candidates and research, summarizes the development trend at 26GHz in China and abroad, and clarifies the practical value in compatibility studies of this band.According to some known incumbent services, this paper mainly introduces two typical services(inter-satellite service and earth exploration-satellite service)which is with high priority and fully in use in 26GHz band. The interference scenarios between 5G and these two services are discussed in detail.Second, this paper details the ITU-R Recommendation M.2101 for compatibility study of 5G system with other systems. As a basic specification for compatibility study on 5G system, this recommendation addresses network topologies, antenna models, user scheduling and other modeling characteristics. It is also the basic modeling theory adopted in this paper.Thirdly,large-scale deployment of 5G system will interfere with inter-satellite service,a modeling method for urban central stations scenario is applied in this thesis to perform system-level simulations regarding domestic and global deployed 5G systems to interfere with the inter-satellite systems. The interference results by simulations from two situations are compared with relevant radio protection requirements.Fourthly, for the scenario that 5G systems interfere with the earth exploration-satellite service,a tunneling modeling method is used in this thesis to perform system-level simulations for 5G systems interfering the FY-3A and FY-4,which are the two earth exploration-satellite systems operation in China. The 5G systems interfering with the satellite earth stations at isolation distance of 1 km are simulated and compared with relevant radio protection requirements.Based on the actual situation of 26GHz frequency band in China,in this thesis, appropriate analysis models are selected to perform system-level simulations to meet the requirements of international standards. This thesis completes the compatibility studies between 5G system and inter-satellite service/earth exploration-satellite services, and the results are valuable to be referred in practical application.
