This paper mainly studies the traffic flow theory based on one-dimensional cellular automata.Through the research of the theory of cellular automata,I will show the readers the swarm intelligence theory.According to the basis of the research status and the characteristics of cellular automata,I have chosen a representative selected direction in its applications,traffic flow problem,to study.At the same time after studying the research status of traffic flow and the research background,we can grasp the master concepts and meanings of Kerner's three-phase traffic flow theory,and we also can rebuild the Nagel-Schreckenberg model,expand the later scholars' theory such as considering the driver character model,considering the behavior of the car in front model,considering the dynamic space model,and so on.After researching the classical theory,I expanded and realized the double driveway model,unbalanced lane-changing model,roundabout traffic model,and the overpass model,etc.In the experiment,I abstracted individual vehicles into separate cell,making time discretization,making the reality road length,vehicle speed acceleration and deceleration quantification.The matrix model is established on the basis of time and space.I eliminated error by a method——one group of diverse sampling,according to the unit defining the formula to calculate the vehicle velocity,vehicle density and other parameters such as the following rate,two-lane traffic lane changing rate,off the round rate,etc.,and show the number of diagram between them,analytic traffic behavior,so as to establish a complete traffic flow model which is suitable for applications.Through the analysis and study of former achievement,and also according to the in-depth study of the theory of cellular automata,I think the NS model has some problems in the background of the times,for example,vehicle acceleration is too high.These problems have been solved now with the improvement of scientific level.So Firstly I restored the NS model,and analyzed the seventh literature and the high-speed following behavior proposed in this paper.Secondly I analyze the case that vehicles keep high speed in small spacing on highway.And according to the actual circumstance of my city,I set up a single and double lane roundabout model,analyzed the reasons of roundabout traffic is easy to form the congestion,divided the road segment into entry and exit.The reason for congestion is a chain reaction of the congestion inside the roundabout at the entrance.The rate of vehicles getting out roundabout at exit,the distance between entry and exit are both having a closely related with the congestion in the roundabout.Lastly I analyzed the reasons for the formation of city overpass traffic congestion.It has characteristics that the road long and exit is few,so dredge time will be longer.By establishment of the model I analyzed the causes of overpass congestion,and put forward the solutions.The current research status of cellular automata in the direction of traffic flow theory,in this paper,the first chapter gives out a review in detail,and also shows the research background and the significance of the research in this paper.The second chapter studies deeply of knowledge involved in my experiment.Firstly,I make a detailed study on the cellular automata theory,because it is the basis of the actual operation of all experiment in the later stage.Secondly,I study systematically on three kinds of traffic flow model and also the three-phase traffic flow theory.It is the basic to understand the concepts of traffic flow.In the third chapter,first of all,I established the one-dimensional NS model and the two-dimensional NS extension model of double driveway model.I gave out five modeling aspects of the one-dimensional model.About the two-dimensional model,I mainly study the lane changing behaviors.Then in the fourth chapter,I mainly focused to extend the one-dimensional cellular automata traffic flow model,including the high-speed following model.I also make an establishment of a model which is a simulation on a roundabout way with two-dimensional cellular automata.Last there is a simulation for city overpass,at the end of the fourth chapter I have given out groups of experimental results.There is a conclusion of this article in the fifth chapter.I summarized the full text and put forward the related theory about the future development trend.
