Under the condition of free space,the application of modern digital signal processing technology in underwater acoustic array signal processing has gradually matured.Excellent scholars at home and abroad have also elaborated in their respective works.But when these signal processing technologies are applied in shallow sea waveguide,these methods will not work well,of course,the sound field needs to be combined with the relevant knowledge of acoustic physics,and combined with the signal processing in sound field,the sound field characteristics in the shallow sea waveguide environment can be used to obtain a certain positioning result.We can get more useful information and use them to estimate the horizontal distance and source depth too.In this paper,we first study the research status at home and abroad in three aspects: the three methods to work out the wave equation and the corresponding model to forecast the sound field,the technology to make the location estimate by long-line array,the acoustic detection of vertical array in the shallow water wave guide.And then,The high-resolution array signal processing algorithm under the condition of free-space is studied.And we can conclude that the high-solution algorithm can obtain narrower main lobes and lower side lobes compared to conventional beamforming methods by simulation.So we can use these methods to obtain better ability in angle resolution when there exists multiple arrivals.Next,two popular simulation software named Kraken and Bellhop are studied to make the sound field modeling.And make the forecast of a certain range of sea areas to provide the support for the simulation of the performance in vertical array detection under the environment of shallow water wave guide.In the wave guide environment,the vertical array signal processing effects are simulated and analyzed;the influence of the effect of waveguide is emphatically analyzed too.When the source location changes,there are distinct features of the interference fringes in the vertical array angle map,these characteristics can be used to estimate the horizontal position and the depth of the source.Finally,we focus on a method to estimate the location of source using the beamforming results in shallow sea wave guide.First,we try to use the virtual source method to estimate the phase of the multi-pass phenomenon in shallow sea wave guides to obtain the effect of energy concentration.Then using the matching phase technique to locate the sound source in the shallow sea wave guide,the conclusion under different simulation conditions were obtained,and the method was verified by sea-test data.
