Named Data Networking(NDN)is one of the most promising future networks,which inherits the feature that transforming the main part of communication into “content oriented” from future networks.In recent years,researchers always focus on its deeper studies,thus it develops rapidly.However,existing researches have never taken the functional differences of routing nodes into consideration.And NDN sends interest packets to the whole networking,thus there is high cost when routing and forwarding.The problems lead to the reduction of routing efficiency.At the same time,the network maintenance process ignores the influence from lower environment structure,which causes a high node failure rate and a poor operation stability.Accordingly,the paper sets to handle the basic mechanism—routing methods and the reinforcement mechanism—maintenance methods of NDN as the beginning of study,and tries to elevate network routing efficiency and stability.The first research area is about the routing method.To build an appropriate network structure for following routing and forwarding,the paper firstly designs an environment construction method for cluster toward routing process in NDN.The method using clusters as the logical environment in NDN,and it divides routing nodes into three types including the cluster-head node,the interface node and the interior node on the basis of their functional differences.Then the next step is completing generation process of clusters automatically through dealing with content names and nodes under the condition of less manual intervention.Eventually,the method achieves the purpose of building the whole structure of the network environment.According to the above thoughts and methods,the paper proposes an expanded routing method for NDN based on clusters-construction.The method retains the superior three-searches process in traditional NDN routing strategies.Meanwhile it improves and expands the routing method with the help of cluster.Thereby it sets every cluster as the unit and avoids the blind forwarding of interest packets during the routing period.Therefore,these two methods finish the aim of enhancing networking routing efficiency.The second research area is about the maintenance method.On the basis of above routing method,the paper presents a maintenance method for routing nodes in NDN based on clusters-construction.The method establishes maintenance mechanism toward important nodes within cluster to evaluate,trace and handle abnormal cases of nodes rapidly.Meanwhile,through the view of routing nodes,the method ensures the data consistency and data accuracy of concerning tables.Thus,it improves networking's stability when routing and forwarding.The simulation results show that the expanded routing method based on clusters-construction for NDN can effectively reduce content request delay and routing hops compared with existing relevant methods.Furthermore,after cooperating with the maintenance method for routing nodes in NDN,the running process becomes more stable and the networking performance parameters have a better promotion.
