As applications of augmented reality become popular,3d reconstrcution has been a hot topic.But vanilla structure lighting based 3d reconstruction isn't available for mobile phones since most of common mobile phones have only a single camera.And monocular RGB 3d reconstruction that reconstructs object model from multiple images suffers from complex reflectance properties,less texture on the surface of object and the change of environment light.In the past,complex algo-rithms which were used to address those problem limited the usage beyond high-end computers.However,as remarkable progress is made on the performance of mobile device,3d reconstruction for a mobile device become possible.Therefore,this paper proposes a monocular 3d reconstruc-tion system for mobile devices.This system consists of two parts:the frontend uses simultaneous localization and mapping as user interaction and realtime pose tracking,the backend uses mul-tiview plane sweep and total variation histogram based volumetric fusion to reconstruct a high quality model in about 1 minute. |
