In the era of Web2.0,the scale of the Internet has been expanding and the volume of information resources has grown.People obtain information in massive amounts of data and are also experiencing the "information overload" dilemma.Social tagging has become an effective tool for resource organization in the network environment.Users can add keywords to resources according to their interest through natural language. The use of user-generated annotation data can further tap the user's information needs in order to provide better personalized information services. Therefore, the annotation behavior has become the focus of domestic and foreign scholars, and it is very important to explore the user's influence factors in the tagging process. This study intends to explore the impact of user cognitive styles on tagging behavior from the perspective of cognitive psychology and information behavior theory.Firstly, this article collates and analyzes the research status of cognitive styles and tagging behaviors, and concludes the relevant basic theories.Secondly, starting from the theoretical basis of cognitive style and social tagging, the factors that influence the tagging behavior are combed. The essence of tagging behavior is the process of classifying, processing and utilizing information resources according to their own understanding and cognition.Based on the influence factors of the labeling behavior, the paper focuses on the analysis of cognitive style's influence on the labeling behavior, and then makes assumptions on the influence of cognitive styles on the tagging behaviors, including two dimensions.Namely, the integral/analytical and field independent/field dependent. Finally,we select the library tagging system Douban.com and LibraryThing's user demographics. We analyze the characteristics of labeling types and frequency of users'annotations, and explore the impact of cognitive styles on labeling behaviors assuming empirically.Users of holistic cognitive styles generally use tags that reflect resource background information and global features.Analytic cognitive style users often use tags that reflect the local characteristics and specific content of resources, and they are concerned about information that is significantly changing. And the holistic use more foreign country labels.Field-independent users often use subjective evaluation tags which attached with personal characteristics because of their strong subjective expression consciousness.Field-dependent users show obvious herding behavior and use a large proportion of high frequencies tag.The conclusions of this study are conducive to guiding the search keyword recommendation of the book resource annotation system and the improvement of the label recommendation function. The system needs to fully consider the user's cognitive style, change too much emphasis on the design status of HF tag recommendation, increase the diversity of tag types, and better meet the user's information needs.
