As an important information infrastructure of the country, optical networks have developed rapidly in recent years, and various technologies are emerging in endlessly. However, with the continuous emergence of new business, especially the rapid development of big data and cloud computing business, the optical network as the bearer network is faced with great challenges. The definition of software defined optical network(SDON)meets the needs of dynamic bandwidth and flexible business scheduling of various businesses, and it is suitable for operators to simplify maintenance management and' improve network operation and maintenance efficiency.SDON is a new type of optical network architecture that applying the concept and technology of software definition network to optical transmission network. At present,SDON is in the primary stage of development, the SDON architecture,SDON programming control and the virtualization of SDON resources are the focus of the research. The main research focus of this paper is the virtual mapping mechanism and the trigger mechanism of spectrum fragmentation in SDON resource scheduling strategy. The main work of this article are summarized as follows:(1)An overview of software defined optical networks:Through reading a lot of SDON related papers, the concept of SDON,the main core enabling technologies, key hardware devices, and SDON network resource scheduling strategies are introduced in details.(2)By exploring the abstract virtualization method of resources, the infrastructure of network resource virtualization based on software defined optical network is constructed. This architecture abstracts the network resources through the middle control and management layer to form a shared virtual resource pool to complete the unified scheduling and distribution, and effectively improves the efficiency of the utilization of the optical network resources.(3)In view of the virtual mapping mechanism of SDON network resources,a virtual mapping algorithm based on spectral clustering graph segmentation is proposed.First,we define the SDON as an undirected graph. And then dividing the undirected graph into different sub-graphs,that is,the different sub-networks,according to the difference of the node computing power and the availability of the link spectrum. In these sub-networks,finding nodes and links that have the same topology as optical network requests to map.By comparing the algorithm w:ith other existing algorithms,it is proved that the algorithm reduces the network blocking rate and improves the utilization ratio of spectrum resources, and concludes that the smaller the sub-graph size in a certain network load is,the lower the network blocking rate is.(4)Aiming at the status of spectrum fragmentation in dynamic network scenarios,a mechanism of spectrum fragmentation based on spectrum compactness is proposed by studying the mechanism of spectrum fragmentation.By judging the relationship between the spectrum compactness and the threshold T,the mechanism determines whether the spectrum fragmentation is triggered or not.The simulation results show that the trigger mechanism of spectrum fragmentation based on spectrum compactness can effectively reduce the network blocking rate, and the larger.the value of T is,the smaller the network blocking rate is.At the same time, this paper applies the spectrum fragmentation trigger mechanism to the SDON architecture, and proposes a SDON based spectrum fragmentation architecture with abstract topology.
