With the continuous development of global information,satellite mobile communication has become an important part of global communication with its wide communication coverage,high capacity,and flexible mobility of communication services and so on.However,with the growing maturity of satellite communication technology,the scarcity of spectrum resources has become the bottleneck of restricting the development of satellite communication.Since effective resource allocation can improve the system spectrum utilization,it becomes a hot topic in the academicals and the industry.For multi-beam satellite communication system,related researches about bandwidth allocation and power allocation have been carried out.However,in the multi-beam satellite communication system,due to the non-uniform distribution of the satellite terminal in the geographical space,the traffic distribution among GEO beams is quite different.The capacity of the overloaded beam may decrease since the lack of resources while the resource utilization of the under-loaded beams will be insufficient.How to consider the distribution of traffic to allocate and manage resources on the satellite is a problem that needs to be solved urgently.This paper first introduces the research status of multi-beam satellite communication system and its resource allocation technology,summarizes and expounds the key technologies of resource allocation,including channel allocation strategy,power allocation strategy and antenna radiation angle adjustment technology,which lay the foundation for studying the resource allocation technology in multi-beam satellite communication system.In view of the problem of resource allocation caused by the heterogeneity of load distribution among GEO satellite beams,this paper establishes and analyzes the problem scenario and the problem model,and then puts forward a dynamic adjustment scheme of beam coverage based on the maximization of system capacity by making full use of the characteristics of satellite transmitting antenna.The scheme first allocates bandwidth and power resources for each end user according to the initial traffic distribution,and then puts the edge users in the central hotspot beam to the lighter-loaded surrounding beams by adjusting the beam coverage according to the user's downlink capacity.According to the situation of traffic distribution after adjusting the coverage range of the beam,the resources are reallocated to each user,and the beam coverage and resource allocation are further adjusted and iterated according to the judgment rule.The simulation results show that the proposed Beam Coverage Dynamic Adjustment Scheme can effectively improve the system capacity of multi-beam satellite communication system and improve the system load balancing performance.
