With the rapid development of telecommunication technology and the increase of mobile network users,telecommunication network becomes more and more complex.With the expanding of Chinese urbanization,skyscrapers,large venues and train stations have experienced great growth.As a result,most of the telephone traffic occurs indoors.According to statistics on the development of 3G and LTE services in recent years,more than 70%of the traffic occurs in indoor areas.Common network planning methods are generally.targeted only at a single networking mode,and it is difficult to deal with macrocells,BBU+RRU,and SmallCells.At the same time,the cost of planning and design is also rising,and the efficiency and quality are continuously decreasing.Signal strength coverage simulation is one of classical methods in radio network planning.Efficient,accurate and applicable field strength simulation method plays an important role in network planning and construction.This paper takes TD-LTE network for example,achieves indoor and outdoor joint coverage planning based on accurate three-dimensional building modeling and ray tracing propagation model,and also verifies propagation results by a real case.The main work of this paper is listed as follows:(1)Analysis on the most commonly used radio network planning and construction methods,including engineering experience method,empirical propagation model simulation prediction method,deterministic propagation model simulation prediction method,summarize advantages and disadvantages of each method and usage scenario.(2)Introduce an intelligent ray tracing propagation model,and apply this model to an indoor and outdoor 3D building scenario.(3)Apply indoor-outdoor joint coverage simulation method to a real TD-LTE wireless network planning and optimization project,analyze the usage of this method and verify its accuracy.The result of radio network simulation prediction proves that the intelligent ray tracing propagation model introduced in this paper is very suitable for radio network planning and analysis under complex network environment.With this method,outdoor telecommunication network,indoor telecommunication network and radio propagation environment are combined together to better support indoor-outdoor environment modeling,indoor-outdoor joint simulation,collaborative planning optimization,to better present indoor-outdoor radio interference,and to easily work out a perfect and reliable indoor-outdoor collaborative radio network planning solution.
