Wireless Mesh Network is a combination of wireless local area network and mobile self-organizing network.It is characterized by high speed,self-organization,self-healing,and wide coverage.It is considered as an important technology for next-generation wireless network communications and has a very broad prospects for development.At the same time,it also faces great security challenges.The data communication between wireless nodes is exposed in the wireless channel,the storage of wireless nodes and the limitation of the computing capacity,which all make the wireless Mesh network need the full protection of the security protocol.How nodes access the Mesh network quickly and securely,and how to efficiently authenticate each other between nodes is an important research topic in wireless Mesh network authentication protocols.This dissertation analyzes the characteristics of wireless Mesh networks,the requirements of authentication services between nodes,the shortcomings of existing schemes,and the rapid authentication technologies that improve access authentication schemes and the security of wireless Mesh networks.The use of the IEEE 802.11 i protocol in the wireless mesh network environment has insecure username/password methods and excessive switching delays.The wireless Mesh network supports the handover of wireless terminals within the network,but the overly long authentication process of the Wireless Mesh network limits its application.This paper proposes a fast authentication and optimization scheme based on digital certificates and a secure and fast switching protocol based on pre-authentication/pre-configuration,which enhances the security and reliability of authentication and enables users to reduce the number of communications between the client and the authentication server.When switching access points,the authentication process can be completed with a small delay.The pre-authentication/pre-configuration mechanism enables the client to obtain the corresponding authentication and network configuration information before the handover,so the handover time can be significantly reduced in the handover process.This paper studies several existing wireless mesh network security protocols,focuses on the analysis of 802.11 x access authentication mechanisms,conducts in-depth research on existing security authentication schemes,and makes a detailed comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the schemes.Based on this,combined with the characteristics of wireless mesh networks,a new wireless mesh network access authentication protocol based on identity authentication is proposed to solve the problem of efficient and secure network access authentication for wireless mesh nodes.This protocol aims at the characteristics of wireless mesh networks and introduces the identity authentication system into wireless mesh node access authentication.On the basis of identity authentication,it completes bidirectional identity authentication,network authentication,and shared key establishment for network access nodes at one time.The steps simplify the authentication process,reduce the authentication delay,and provide a new authentication scheme forlarge-scale node access.Finally,the security of the protocol is proved by the BAN logic formalization method,and the efficiency of the protocol is illustrated by the efficiency analysis.
