With the development of multimedia technology,people's requirement of video resolution is becoming higher and higher.2K,4K or even 8K video will be popular in the near future.In order to address the needs of these huge storage and transmission of video data,video coding standard came into being.The latest video coding standard high efficient video coding(HEVC)based on Shannon 's information theory,its compressed thinking based on the temporal redundant information,spatial redundancy information and statistical redundancy information of video.However,the way of increasing computational complexity to improve the compression efficiency is becoming ineffective.How to improve the compression efficiency is an urgent problem.Perceptual video coding(PVC),which is based on the human visual system(HVS),can greatly reduce the bit rate in the same effect of subjective perception.It has great significance for the solution to the problem.In this paper,a PVC scheme based on multiple domain just noticeable difference(JND)and the coding suppression strategy is proposed.Firstly,this paper presents a traditional and novel spatial domain JND profile.Secondly,for the temporal domain JND profile,a subjective experiment is designed to measure the relationship between the temporal frequency and the temporal modulation factor.Then,a new temporal modulation factor model is established.Thirdly,for the coding suppression strategy,this paper introduces an evaluation criterion based on the probability of block-aware distortion,and then based on this standard,a new coding suppression strategy is proposed.Finally,in order to verify the validity of the proposed algorithm,the algorithm is realized on the HM16.9 and is compared to another two PVC scheme.The final results show that the bit rate average reduces 13.6%under the premise of an acceptable video quality.Compared to another two PVC scheme,the results show that the temporal domain JND proposed in this paper can reduce the temporal redundancy information effectively and the coding suppression strategy can improve the video perceptual quality effectively.Finally,this paper concludes the relevant innovations and prospects based on the complexity of the algorithm,the accuracy of the JND profile,and so on.
