The multimedia data has become one of the important ways for people to obtain information in digital age.The security requirement of secret information transmission is becoming stricter,so how to ensure the secure transmission of confidential information in the network has been paid more and attention.Information hiding technology embeds the secret information into the carrier data and only shows the carrier's characteristics to achieve the secure transmission of secret information.Therefore,the information hiding technology has gradually become a hot research.Reversible data hiding is a novel branch of data hiding technology.The original information of the host could be accurately restored after extracting the secret information embedded within.The reversibility is essential to some sensitive applications such as medical diagnosis and law enforcement,which requires high fidelity and can not tolerate even the slightest distortion.In recent years,H.264/AVC video codec standard has gained popularity rapidly for its high compression and outstanding network-friendly property,and has become one of the most conventional ways for video transmission.The data hiding technology based on this kind of video is of special meaning and is attracting more and more eyesight attention among the researchers.The data hiding algorithm for H.264/AVC video has been studied in this paper.The main work is as follows:Firstly,a real-time reversible data hiding scheme is proposed for H.264/AVC by exploiting the rate-distortion optimization of video encoder.The secret data is embedded into the quantized DCT coefficients of intra-coded 4?4 blocks with a specifically designed mapping rule.Since the data hiding is executed after the reconstruction loop of H.264/AVC encoder,it can avoid the restoration process in the existing approaches and can not influence the quality of the reconstruction.The data hiding is directly involved in the selection process of the best prediction mode of intra-coded 4?4 blocks and is carried out just along with the compression process of video,so it has the real-time characteristic.Experimental results on several video sequences show that the proposed scheme can achieve desirable performances in terms of bit rate increase,perceptual quality,hiding capacity and computational complexity.Secondly,a data hiding scheme based on the modification of motion vector components for H.264/AVC video compression standard.Taking the advantage of Human Visual System(HVS),the scheme filters the motion vectors which HVS is less sensitive to.It uses the difference between the chosen motion vectors components to control the operating position,and embeds secret message in the component.Experimental results show that the scheme achieves the requirements of covert communication about the imperceptibility and hiding capacity.
