Research On Broadcast Algorithm Based On Successful Broadcasting Ratio Of Neighbor Nodes

A mobile ad hoc network is a new kind of multihop mobile communication network which is without center and does not need support of any infrastructure.Broadcasting is a necessary component in mobile Ad Hoc networks.Flooding is the simplest broadcasting algorithm.However,the blind flooding leads to serious broadcast storm,which consumes a large amount of network resource and causes broadcasting unreliability as well.To solve the problem above mentioned,researchers proposed many broadcast protocols.To solve the broadcast storm and broadcast unreliability,Broadcast algorithm Based on Successful Broadcasting Ratio of Neighbor Nodes(BSRN)is proposed in this paper.In BSRN,the forwarding probability of the current node can adjust according to broadcast success rate of the neighbor nodes at real-time way,which can reduce the probability of channel contentions and collisions,thus suppress the broadcast storm and provide reliable broadcast.The simulation results show that BSRN can achieve higher reachable ratio and shorter delay.
