In order to meet the advent of the information age,many enterprises and organizations deploy their private information systems.They need to purchase computer hardware and software to build their information systems,and organize a special department as well as technicians for the deployment,management and maintenance of the systems.Holding a private information system for each enterprise or organization consumes a large amount of computer resources and it is very hard to manage.In addition,it is needed to purchase more computer resources to expand the scale of the information system when necessary.And if the systems are over-deployed,a great amount of computer resources are wasted.Cloud computing can solve above problems fundamentally.It virtualizes various resources,including servers,storage devices,and network equipments,as a unified resource pool by virtualization technology.The implementation detail of the underlying resources is hided for users.The users can obtain hardware,software and platform resources through network.Cloud computing is a large heterogeneous system,which consists of various systems and applications.In order to satisfy the users' requirement,save computer resource,and optimize the system performance,it is necessary to allocate the resources reasonably.Therefore,the resource allocating has become one of the hotspots in the field of cloud computing.On the basis of research results at home and abroad,this paper firstly summarizes the research status of cloud computing and some related preliminaries,and then the cloud computing models,CDN(Content Delivery Network)and the concept of the user utility are introduce.At last,this paper proposes user-oriented utility model for cloud service providers in cloud environment.A lot of experiments are done to validate the efficiency of our proposed model.The main contents of this paper are listed as follows.First,by reference to SaaS(Software as a Service)model,for the subject of selecting the appropriate cloud resources to deploy cloud service,having a detailed description of the process of cloud service from deployment to providing.Second,considering SLA(Service Level Agreement)between user and cloud service provider,this paper analyzes the classification of QoS(Quality of Service)attributes,studying quantization of QoS attributes and establish QoS evaluation model.Third,it introduces the concept of the user utility in economics,proposing the user utility model adapting to the environment of this paper in order to fully meet user demand for cloud service QoS,and it quantifies user satisfaction for the cloud service through the utility value.Forth,this paper refers to cloud service user utility model in cloud environment andfocuses on resource-utility model,which is beneficial to managing and allocating cloud resources for cloud service provider.Fifth,it gives the calculation method of weights in resource-utility model,these methods mainly describe and quantifies the important degree of the child service in cloud service and the important degree of each QoS attribute in the child service,helps the model closer to user utility in cloud environment.Cloud service user utility model is validated by experiments.Simulation result shows that this model can help to choose the appropriate cloud resource to deploy cloud service,to provide users with satisfactory service.The adjustment of the weights in the model reflects the influence of the weights on this model.
