The Design And Development Of Adaptive Learning System Based On Emotion Recognition

With the rapid development of "Internet and Education",online learning has become a new form of learning.At present,the separation of time and space in online learning systems makes the learners unable to meet the needs of emotional communication,which will affect their cognitive learning and even their mental health.Therefore,emotional interaction is of great significance to guarantee the quality of online learning and improve the teaching effect.At present,most of the adaptive learning is recommended for students' learning style,but students' learning emotion is ignored.With the development of artificial intelligence and affective computing,adaptive learning systems and affective computing have been innovatively combined in this paper,and proposes an intelligent adaptive learning system based on emotion recognition.This paper focuses on three aspects: the construction of students' academic emotion database,the establishment of students' academic emotion recognition model and the personalized recommendation based on the combination of emotion technology and adaptive technology.Based on the theory of emotion computing,education psychology and the techniques of facial emotion recognition and emotion dimension calculation,by acquiring students' learning style and real-time academic emotion,the system accurately depicts students' learning portrait and updates it to the students' emotion model in real time.It provides corresponding data for the adaptive engine and makes corresponding emotional encouragement,emotional compensation and learning push strategies.Considering the learning characteristics of students,this paper focuses on improving the adaptive learning system for students' learning affective deficiency,and provide reference for the research and application of emotional interaction in the adaptive learning system.The main contributions and innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the theory of emotion recognition and adaptive learning system,the overall framework,working process and unit model of the adaptive system based on emotion recognition were designed.(2)Refer to the existing facial expression database to construct the academic emotion database for middle school students,and describe the preliminary preparation,experimental process and quality of the database in detail.(3)Based on the convolutional neural network and the long-term and short-term memory network,the students of adaptive learning can accurately detect their academic emotions,and complete the training,parameter tuning and prediction of the emotion recognition model.(4)Real-time diagnosis and intervention are carried out on students' learning,and the peak of online learning is maintained according to the induction mechanism of emotional adjustment of intellectual adaptation learning;The system recommends adaptive learning strategies for students' learning confusion and other emotions to ensure their continuous and efficient learning.
