Louisa may Alcott was a famous American children's writer in the 19 th century.Her autobiographical bildungsroman "little women" and two sequels "little men" and "Joe's boys" are still widely read around the world.These books skillfully dealt with the practices and problems of child-rearing and schooling,teacher education,equal educational opportunities,and coeducation,which had a good influence on American education at that time.Through the research of Alcott's autobiographical educational novels and her own experience,this paper explores the thoughts of children's moral education contained in them,and systematically sorts out the contents and characteristics of Alcott's thoughts of children's moral education.The research content of this paper is divided into five aspects:The first part is the introduction;This paper mainly introduces the purpose,content and significance of the research and the analysis of the current situation of Alcott's research at home and abroad.The research on Alcott at home and abroad mainly includes four aspects: Alcott's life,transcendentalism,feminism and literary creation.Only a few foreign scholars have studied Alcott's thoughts from the perspective of education,so there is a large space for the research of this topic.The second part is to comb and analyze Alcott's life and main works.Through the study of Alcott's life,found that she had no formal education,her thoughts and opinions on education largely from her parents and their own education teaching experience,especially the mother to her sisters and the attention of the moral education of Alcott the formation of children's moral education thought played a big role.Alcott incorporated many of her educational ideas into her novels,which can be said to be the main source of Alcott's moral education thoughts.The third part reveals the historical background and theoretical foundation of Alcott's thought of children's moral education.It mainly studies the influence of transcendentalism,feminism and puritanism on the formation of her thought of children's moral education.Alcott's father,as well as their family friend Ralph WaldoEmerson and Henry David Thoreau is the famous transcendentalist philosophers,they will own transcendentalist thoughts and ethical moral ideal,the combination of belief in education is the essence of personal unique nature,the performance of the process is also a self-fulfilling process,these claims have greatly influenced the children's moral education thought of Alcott.The fourth part expounds the basic content of Alcott's thought of children's moral education from three aspects: educational goal,educational content and educational method.Alcott is an educator who advocates the supremacy of morality and personality.She believes that the purpose of moral education is mainly to cultivate good moral character and behavior habits,so that children can have a perfect human nature and soul.In her children's moral education novels,every chapter has the content about character education.Her method of moral education for children is mainly from the perceptual perspective,through the transmission of love in life and communication,to build up trust with children,close the distance between each other's hearts.The last part summarizes the characteristics and significance of Alcott's thought of children's moral education.Although Alcott in the minds of most people is only a very love writing as a writer,also does not have the education system works published,is not a true sense of the educator,but he still made a great contribution to the education,the main is that as a literary artistry strong children's writer,her thought is creative and imagination,she can from the Angle of transcendentalist in children's moral education,school education,teaching and school co-ed issues put forward their own insights;To some extent,her works reflect the educational thought and practice in the 19 th century,and also reflect her firm moral belief and sentiment.Her children's moral education novels have strong educational significance for children,parents and teachers,and promote the development of children's moral character.She has championed coeducation and equal access to education for girls.
