Executive's Party Committee Secretary Working Experience And Corporate Charitable Donations

As a new research field,behavioral finance theory has received in-depth research in academia in recent years.The study of behavioral science theory by scholars at home and abroad has ranged from the behaviors of external incentives that economics considers to the behaviors of internal incentives that psychologists recognize To the combination of the two,not only consider external factors,but also consider the psychological and behavioral characteristics of decision-making.At present,the academic circle starts from behavioral finance theory,and uses high-level echelon theory,behavioral science theory,and psychology to extensively and deeply study the influence of personal background characteristics of managers such as early experience,education background,gender,and age on the company level.Based on this,this article takes the unique experience of the senior party committe secretary of China as the starting point to explore the relationship between the senior party secretary's service experience and corporate charitable donations.Specifically,this article attempts to answer the following questions:(1)Does the executive's party committee secretary working experience affect corporate charitable donations?(2)When the nature of property rights is different,the company pays different attention to the party organization,and the effect of the party organization culture will also be different.Then,is the impact of the executive's party committee secretary working experience on the level of corporate charitable donations in companies with different property rights? has a difference?(3)Will other personal characteristics of senior executives affect corporate charitable donations for senior executives with experience as a party secretary?(4)There are many motives for charitable donations,including self-motivated,altruistic,and strategic motives.What are the motives for executives with experience as a party committee secretary for corporate charitable donations?Participation of party organizations in corporate governance is a unique corporate governance system in China.The “two-way entry and cross-serving” leadership system is gradually integrated with corporate governance.The party organization is used as the starting point to study the executive's party committee secretary working experience and corporate charitable donations.The relationship between them is a unique company financial research problem in China.An in-depth study of the above issues can further understand China's unique corporate governance model,promote the country to implement the party organization's participation in corporate governance measures as soon as possible,understand the influencing factors affecting corporate governance,and expand The behavioral finance theory also provides new research ideas for the study of corporate governance in China.Aiming at the above problems,this paper adopts a combination of literature research method,hypothetical deductive reasoning method and empirical test method to conduct research and analysis.Based on the corporate charitable donations data of A-share non-financial listed companies from 2006 to 2017,this article studies the impact of executive's party committee secretary working experience on corporate charitable donations,and examines whether the difference in the nature of property rights affects both.The empirical results prove that when senior executives have the working experience of party committee secretary,their companies will assume and fulfill more corporate charitable donations.After considering the nature of property rights,compared with non-state-owned enterprises,when the executives of state-owned enterprises have the experience of serving as party committee secretaries,their companies will make more charitable donations.Further research also found that other personal characteristics of senior executives will affect the relationship between the executive experience of the party committee secretary and corporate charitable donations.Specifically,a political and academic background will further promote the performance of executives with the working experience of the party committee secretary;a high education background,financial background,and increasing age will make executives with party committee secretary experience less likely to give to charity.Secondly,This paper also found that executives with experience as secretary of the party committee of for charitable giving more starting from the idea of "altruism",mainly from the perspective of the overall social welfare maximization consideration in business decisions.This article studies the relationship between the senior secretary of the party committee and the charity donation of enterprises.It is divided into six parts: The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research significance,research ideas,research methods,related research content and innovation points and shortcomings.The second part is a literature review,which summarizes,analyzes,and summarizes the relevant literature experiences of senior executives,corporate charitable donations,and party organizations' participation in corporate governance.The third part is a theoretical overview,it defines the executive party secretary's working experience and the concept of corporate charitable donation,analyzes the mechanism of the executive party secretary's working experience and corporate charitable donation,and analyzes the theoretical basis of this paper.The fourth part is the theoretical analysis and hypothesis proposal.Based on the literature review in the second part and the theoretical overview in the third part,this paper proposes the research hypothesis after sorting out the relationship between the executive party secretary experience and corporate charitable donations.The fifth part is the empirical analysis,reference for study to establish the empirical model,through descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis and other empirical research methods to experience as executive secretary of the party committee of the relationship between corporate philanthropy,at the same time in order to make the results more reliable,this article also has carried on the further analysis and robustness testing.The sixth part is the research conclusion and policy suggestion.The marginal contribution of this article has two aspects.On the one hand,on the basis of the party organization culture with Chinese characteristics,with Chinese characteristics from the secretary of the party committee of Angle,research experience as executive secretary of the party committee of influence on corporate philanthropy,not only enriched the party organization in the corporate governance role in the field of literature,expanded the party organization of the research area,and research conclusions of this paper can provide powerful theoretical explanation for the party organization participating in corporate governance.On the other hand,it enriches the literature on the personal characteristics of senior executives and provides a new research direction for scholars to study the influence of senior executives' background on corporate governance.
