School bullying has become another important issue in society in recent years.According to the "Survey Report on School bullying in China",verbal bullying has become the main form.Through research, the author finds that because bystanders have irrational cognition of verbal bullying incidents and lack methods in the face of verbal bullying,it has been repeatedly seen that people watch form the sidelines and do nothing, which aggravates the occurrence of verbal bullying. Therefore, the author uses cognitive behavior theory to analyze the irrational cognition of bystanders, and corrects irrational cognition through role exchange and other ways to achieve cognitive reconstruction. At the same time, the author teaches bystanders the methods when facing verbal bullying. In order to maintain the intervention effect, the author lists class managers as intervention subjects and change their attitudes and methods to verbal bullying.Through intervention research,it is found that after bystanders change their cognition and master methods, the occurrence of verbal bullying incidents have been effectively reduced, which indicates that social work interventions have produced certain effects. On this basis, the author summarizes the intervention process and reviews the merits and demerits in the intervention process,in the hope of providing experience and reference for the study of verbal bullying in the future.
