A Study On The Development Of Confucius Classrooms In The Philippines

Since the establishment of the world's first Confucius Classroom on November 16,2006,the construction of the Confucius Classroom has entered its third year.As a platform for overseas elementary and middle school learners to learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture,Confucius Classroom plays an important role in Chinese heritage and cultural exchanges between countries.The Confucius Classroom in the Philippines started late and developed slowly compared to Confucius Classrooms in other countries.In order to gain a deeper understanding of the actual situation of the development of the Confucius Classroom in the Philippines,this article takes the Confucius Classroom at the Paoay National High School in the Philippines,the Confucius Classroom at San Francisco High School,and the Confucius Classroom at Tarlac National High School as research objects,through data collection,field visits,Comparative analysis,interviews and other methods to fully present the current situation of the Confucius Classroom in the Philippines,and to analyze in detail the problems existing in the Confucius Classroom in management,teachers,students,teaching resources and cultural activities.Finally,based on the problems existing in the current Confucius Classroom in the Philippines,this paper proposes detailed solutions to improve the top-level design of Confucius Classroom,improve the construction of Confucius Classroom teachers,optimize the allocation of teaching resources,and stimulate learning motivation.Only by actively promoting the sustainable development of Confucius Classroom in the Philippines can we further promote the growth of Chinese teaching in the Philippines.
