The use of symbolism has a long history,exists in various literary styles in the literary aesthetic,since the combination with the novel burst out a strong vitality,in the novel in various forms of expression,among which,the integrity of the symbol is more special,That is,the symbolic novel discussed in this paper,this whole symbolic novel shows that the use of symbolism in the novel is more mature.Symbolic novels,which are different from traditional novels,further widen the boundary of novels and become a new phenomenon in the history of literature.It is difficult for teachers to read symbolic novels in the Chinese textbooks of senior high school,such as "the Old Man and the Sea" and "the Eighteen-year-old excursion".Based on this,this paper aims to provide some new ideas and ideas for the classroom teaching of different types of symbolic novels.This paper is divided into four parts: introduction,text,conclusion and conclusion.The introduction mainly introduces the origin of the thesis,the overall situation and the existing problems in the study of symbolic novels,as well as the definition of the related concepts.The first chapter of the text analyzes the characteristics and values of symbolic novels in teaching materials,and then discusses its teaching difficulties and teaching status.In the second chapter,the characteristics of symbolic novels in the textbook are analyzed,taking the Old Man and the Sea and the Eighteen-year-old excursion as examples.The third chapter puts forward some opinions and practical ideas on the teaching strategy of symbolic novel in combination with the previous text and the new curriculum standard.It is suggested that the purpose of this paper is to excavate the meaning of symbolic novel deeply and combine the guiding strategy of Chinese learning in the new curriculum standard of high school Chinese to clear up the hindrance of the reading of symbolic novel of senior high school students.
