With the continuous promotion and deepening of the new curriculum reform in our country, the concept of quality education has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. In the teaching process, the hierarchical teaching mode is adopted by many schools. The 19 th National Congress of the Party clearly pointed out: "We must fully implement the Party's educational policy, implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people, develop quality education, promote educational fairness, and train socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics." In 2017,the basic concept of the new curriculum standard of physics for ordinary senior high schools puts forward: "to advocate evaluation should pay attention to the individual differences of students, help students to know themselves, build self-confidence,improve learning methods and develop core qualities." China is a multi-ethnic country, and ethnic education has been paid close attention to.The middle school in this study is an ordinary high school for ethnic minorities in the mountainous area of northern Guangdong. There are about2,000 students in the school. They enroll students for all the students and do not have any entrance examination scores.Their students' scores do not reach half of the total entrance examination scores, accounting for more than half ofthe total enrollment. Some students do not have entrance examination scores. These students are mainly from township middle schools. As many parents of students work outside for a long time, students and grandparents live together and become left-behind children.Inter-generational education makes students lack the role of family supervision in their studies.Even for conceptual and economic reasons, families will become the driving force for students to drop out of school. The surrounding community environment is not conducive to students' studies.School education has become the last line of defense to keep students in school.Faced with the diversity of student groups, this middle school has adopted stratified teaching.According to the actual situation of students, students are divided into three levels: A,B and C.Students at each level are stratified in terms of development goals, teaching goals, teaching contents, practice assignments, teacher guidance and examination tests. In particular, for students at level C,compulsory education is not allowed,so that they can learn the most basic cultural knowledge, have the most basic core literacy of subjects, and successfully complete their high school studies.Layered teaching highlights the subjectivity of students, maintains the organic unity of "teaching" and "being taught",and promotes the enthusiasm of students in learning.Since each student has his or her own current level and potential level of development, this article focuses on the students' recent development zone in the teaching process according to Vygotsky's "theory of recent development zone" and tries its best to help students cross the recent development zone. This paper first introduces the research background and the summary of hierarchical teaching at home and abroad. Then, based on the theory of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, the theory of zone of proximal development, the theory of constructivism and the theory of humanistic learning, this paper expounds the situation of high school students in this middle school.Under this premise, hierarchical teaching is adopted to promote the development of each student. In the process of hierarchical teaching, the author explains the needs, detailed rules and evaluation of hierarchical teaching. In order to more prominently express the hierarchical teaching mode, the author designs comparative cases for different levels and gives one by one examples. At the end of this article, the author used the interview method to interview the physics teachers in this high school, and made further reflection and summary on hierarchical teaching. It is hoped that this study will have some implications for the teaching in schools with diverse students, especially the poorer and more left-behind children.
