Self-talk research is divided into positive-negative self-talk,guidance-motivation self-talk and explicit-implicit self-talk according to nature, function and expression. The purpose of this research is to apply qualitative research methods to different dimensions of athletes' self-talk.The use of content and its effects are discussed;the commonness and differences of self-talk content and effects of different sports events are compared;on the basis of this, reasonable self-talk methods are used to improve the athletic performance. In this study,28 active athletes of eight projects in the training base were selected to participate in the research.A combination of semi-structured in-depth interviews and training diaries was used to collect data.Based on the qualitative research tools of Nvivo12.0,the content and efficacy of self-talk were explored.Analysis conclusion:First, athletes' self-talks are common, and they include positive-negative,coaching-motivation,explicit-implicit three-dimensionality.he content selection process includes situational judgment,pressure-driven,choice of expression, subjective influence, complete action, emotional experience,The continuous progression of acquired preferences, positive self-talks are positively promoting negative self-talks to hinder disintegration, guidance and motivational self-talks work together and complement each other.Explicit and implicit self-talks are not the same way of expression.Points are closely related to the personality differences of athletes.Second, the self-talking effect of athletes includes two aspects, namely athletic performance and emotional regulation. The effects on sports performance are divided into two scenarios:training and competition. The effects of self-talk during training include training attitude, training status maintenance,"platform overcoming",and qualitative changes in performance. The effects of self-talk during performance include goal setting,Motivation intensity, value changes, and actions;self-talk emotion regulation effects during training include emotion adaptation, motivation activation, organizational integration, and signal transmission;self-talk emotion regulation effects during competition include motivation, agitation transformation, event judgment, and tension adjustment.Third, there are differences in the types of athletes' self-talk function use.Technical fine sports and group sports use mostly guided self-talk,while power bursts and individual sports use motives.Fourth,self-talk content and efficacy complement each other and cross-link.
