changed,but it still has vitality and vitality.College students in the process of realize China's dream has incomparable status,to the ideological and political education as a stick with a long-term work,play to the spirit of May4 th movement on college students' ideological and political education function of college students strengthen the patriotism and challenge adhere to forge ahead,the development of democratic politics,stimulate independent innovation,set up the ideal faith is of great significance.However,at present,due to the lack of theoretical research,the limitation of college education function,so it is urgent to find the way to realize the May4 th spirit ideological and political education function.In this paper,on the basis of existing research results,using literature analysis,historical analysis,inductive analysis method has carried on the exploration to the may fourth spirit research,on the basis of the core content of the may fourth spirit,analysis of the may fourth spirit and the intrinsic relationship between college students' ideological and political education,so as to explore the spirit of the May 4th movement on college students' ideological and political education function and its existing problems and reasons,will focus on the "May 4th" spirit,the realization of the function of ideological and political education path to achieve the may fourth spirit of ideological and political education function achieve the desired effect,and ultimately to promote college students strengthen the patriotic enthusiasm,sets up the broad ideal,build skills proficiently.Bear the responsibility of realizing the Chinese dream and strive for it.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part summarizes the spirit of the May 4th movement.First of all,this paper discusses the forming conditions of the spirit of the May 4th movement and has a certain understanding of its historical background.Secondly,with reference to other experts and scholars on the May 4th spirit of the discussion,the May 4th spirit of the concept and development of the summary.Thirdly,the contents of patriotism,progress,democracy and scientific spirit contained in the spirit of the May 4th movement are explored.This paper explores the internal connection between the spirit of the May 4th movement and the ideological and political education of college
