Tribute to the White Poplar is a piece of work written by Mao Dun in 1941,which voiced for the Southern Anhui Incident and pointed out the right principle for the people.It is his inner and the most impressive work written after his exile in Xinjiang,Yan'an,Chongqing and other places in the past few years.What's more,Mao Dun later compiled a collection of essays under the name of "Tribute to the White Poplar".According to one sang and the other three joined in,the author cheerfully praises the poplar tree,expressing his eulogy for the tenacious vitality of the poplar tree in the essay.Such a classical lyric prose with sincerity and rich cultural self-confidence has been selected into the edition of Peking Normal University,Jiangsu Province Educational,Chinese Edition and the current compiled textbooks,which shows that this article has high teaching value.How to determine the appropriate and effective teaching content in such a lyric prose with teaching value is what Chinese teachers need to consider.After all,the teaching content determines the teaching method.Only by solving this problem can we effectively optimize the teaching of this prose.Up to now,the academic research on the theme and artistic characteristics of Tribute to the White Poplar has been thorough and comprehensive,from which we can see that there are many teaching contents for this article.In order to ensure that the teaching content of Tribute to the White Poplar is realized to the unique value of "this article",this study combines the academic analysis and the stylistic features of lyric prose to explore the unique features of this article from four aspects: confirmation from far and near objects,layout of layer-by-layer,using small words to carry big symbolism and the sonorous music language.However,the four teaching materials selected in this paper have different writing intentions,so the teaching content orientation presented on the basis of academic research is also different.This can be reflected from four aspects: the arrangement of learning paragraphs,the arrangement of units,the compilation of notes after class and the compilation of exercises after class.The teaching contents provided by the textbook are as mentioned,and the teaching contents selected by the front-line teachers in the actual teaching of Tribute to the White Poplar are also chosen on this basis.In this study,30 teaching examples are selected according to the three criteria of regional,representative and hierarchical,which reflects the selection of the teaching contents and the existing problems in the teaching of this article among teachers.After digging out the teaching contents from the general direction to the subtleties,integrating the foregoing analysis and avoiding the teaching problems,this paper provides the front-line teachers with specific suggestions on the teaching contents of Tribute to the White Poplar: experiencing life in common and uncommon;symbolization in a layered and tortuous structure;grasping the typical portrayal of symbolism to write fragments;comparing words and sentences and feeling the powerful and vigorous of language in reading.
