Meta-cognition is the focus of modern psychological research,it is human cognition of their own cognitive activities.Flavell called it "cognitive cognition".Meta-cognition includes three parts: meta-cognitive knowledge,meta-cognitive monitoring and cognitive experience.Among them,meta-cognitive knowledge refers to the knowledge accumulated by individuals in meta-cognitive activities that can affect the cognitive process and cognitive results.Meta-cognitive monitoring means that individuals take their own cognitive process or cognitive results as the monitoring object in cognitive activities,using relevant knowledge to actively and consciously monitor,control and adjust.Meta-cognitive experience is the cognitive experience and emotional experience produced by individuals in the cognitive process.The research object of this paper is junior high school students(grade seven students).Their thinking gradually changes from image thinking to abstract thinking.The effect of cognition depends on the operation level of cognitive process.Meta-cognition is the guarantee of high-level operation of cognitive process.Therefore,effective meta-cognitive training is an effective way to train students to learn how to learn,improve their learning ability and enhance their cognitive experience.In this paper,natural experiment is used.Using the meta-cognitive awareness questionnaire compiled by Schraw et al.And the learning skills test volume compiled by Wang Xiufang,a domestic scholar,as the measurement tool,the subjects were tested before and after the experiment;using the general meta-cognitive training course compiled by ourselves to carry out meta-cognitive training for junior high school students,and further explore the influence of general meta-cognitive training on the meta-cognitive level and learning achievement of junior high school students.In the experiment,two natural classes(one experimental class and one control class)were selected for control.The pretest and post test of meta-cognition,the pretest and post test of academic performance were conducted for the two classesrespectively,and the delayed test of the experimental class was conducted by using academic performance.SPSS16.0 was used to analyze the data collected.The experimental results are as follows:1.Through meta-cognitive training,the meta-cognitive level of Grade 7 students can be effectively improved.The overall meta-cognitive level of students has changed significantly among students at all levels.2.Through the comparison of meta-cognition and learning performance in the experimental class,it is found that individual items in meta-cognitive strategies and meta-cognitive knowledge have a significant impact on individual disciplines,but meta-cognition as a whole has no significant impact on the overall performance of all disciplines. |
