| Fairy tales are children's natural spiritual food,which is of great significance to children's spiritual growth.At present,fairy tales are widely used in kindergarten education.They are generally regarded as a teaching method to help children acquired language and promote their social and moral development.However,in the children's eyes,What kind of experience is reading fairy tales? How do they interpret fairy tales?What is the true value of fairy tales to children? This research learned the kindergarten children's interpretation of fairy tales and teachers' interpretation of fairy tales respectively from the children's perspective and the teachers' perspective,then compared the two interpretations through analysis and pursuit the real relationship between fairy tales and children.The study selected the world's three classic fairy tales,namely Five Peas in a Pod,Little Idas Flowers,and The Little Mermaid,by Hans Christian Andersen as the main texts of the research,and learned the 32children's perspective and 13 teachers' interpretations of these three fairy tales in S Kindergarten through mosaic method and interview method.After coding and organizing the interview results,the author discovered that children aged 5-6 years were particularly fond of the three fairy tales which were selected and that they had rich interpretations of them.The children loved the poetic beauty and the childish beauty depicted in Five Peas in a Pod,and interpreted the fairy tale from multiple perspectives such as the relationship between nature and human being,the change and value of life,the spirit of exploration,and maternal love;then,the children expressed their basic feelings toward Little Idas Flower,and interpreted it from the two perspectives: the understanding of life,and the relationship between human being and all the things;finally,the beauty and kindness described in the fairy tale The Little Mermaid fascinated the children,who reflected upon the themes such as love,soul and death,as well as pursuit and sacrifice which were embodied in the fairy tale.And the teachers interpreted the three fairy tales mainly from the three major aspects: the analysis on the contents of the fairy tales,the educational function of fairy tales,as well as the internal value of fairytales.Through comparative analysis,similarities are found between the children's interpretation of the fairy tales and the teachers' interpretation of the fairy tales.Both of them sought the sincerity,kindness and beauty in the fairy tales,and both associated with life experiences in the interpretations.However,while they were interpreting the fairy tales,relatively some differences were seen in these three dimensions: value orientation,interpretation method and interpretation content.In value orientation,while interpreting fairy tales,the children focused on gaining aesthetic experiences while the teachers focused on giving play to the educational function of fairy tales;in interpretation method,the children conducted an overall innocent interpretation while teachers interpreted the fairy tales more rationally;looking from the interpretation content,the children actively explored the life philosophy implied in the fairy tales,while the teachers mainly focused on analyzing the contents which could inspire solutions to actual real life problems.In combination with the characteristics of the children's and the teachers' interpretation of the fairy tales,this study explored the real educational implications of fairy tales based on the perspective of the two.In the process of education,the employment of fairy tales should pay attention to the aesthetic experiences of children,explore the internal value of fairy tales which corresponds to children,protect the innocence of young children and the nature of active exploration,play the educational function of fairy tales to promote the development of children.On the other hand,the author came up with relevant suggestions on the use of fairy tales for preschool education from five aspects: fully explore the internal value of fairy tales from optimizing fairy tales;upgrade the teachers' concepts,listen to children's interpretations of fairy tales;innovate activity forms,pay attention to aesthetic experiences;inspire and guide children to satisfy their desire to explore.Give full play to the functions of fairy tales and promote the comprehensive development of children. |
