Computational thinking is an important topic of concern in the field of education at home and abroad. In an interdisciplinary context,a problem-driven learning environment is an effective means of developing computational thinking. From the perspective of interdisciplinary, this study constructed a comprehensive problem-driven learning environment, and explored it on the development of pupils' computational thinking through three times iterative teaching practice. The core question to be studied in this institute is: “How to use a problem-driven learning environment to develop elementary school students' computational thinking?” It includes three sub-questions:(1)What are the design elements and strategies of a problem-driven learning environment?(2)Based on the above design principles and strategies, how to improve the learning environment design iteratively in the interdisciplinary context combining mathematics and programming?(3)Based on the interdisciplinary problem-driven learning environment, can it improve the computational thinking of elementary school students? To solve the above research problems, the research comprehensively uses the literature meta-analysis method,design-based research method, classroom observation, questionnaire survey method and interview method to do the research.Because of the complexity and abstractness of the concept of computational thinking and the multidimensionality and operability of the evaluation method, the theoretical foundation of this study should be laid first. The core content of this study is divided into three aspects.(1)create a conceptual model of computational thinking and an evaluation framework.According to the two key viewpoints of the origin of computational thinking, the theoretical background of understanding computational thinking is established. After that,it continues to explore the three development stages of computational thinking, summarizes the existing conceptual models of computational thinking, and proposes the conceptual model of this study. The evaluation framework of this study is developed based on the selection of evaluation tools and evaluation dimensions.(2)construct the framework of interdisciplinary problem-driven learning environment.Based on classical digital learning environment,PST theory, review the learning environment of computational thinking from teaching methods, social interaction and technical environment. Then extract the design elements of the core, build problem driven interdisciplinary learning environment design principles, and put forward specific teaching strategies.(3)apply and improve the application effect of problem-driven learning environment. After the preliminary strategy is proposed, three rounds of interdisciplinaryteaching practice of mathematics and programming are carried out.The design principles and strategies of learning environment are constantly modified and condensed according to the data analysis results of each round. This study mainly draws the following conclusions. The abstractness and transference of computational thinking need the representation of interdisciplinary integration of knowledge.Computational thinking should be evaluated from the perspectives of subject achievement, problem solving process and related thinking. The design of learning environment for interdisciplinary development of computational thinking can propose specific strategies from the perspectives of teaching methods for interdisciplinary real problems, collaborative interaction of pair programming in script support groups, and technical environment supporting visual representation of computational thinking. This research deeply studied the connotation and evaluation angles of the development of computational thinking, and provided theoretical guidance for the researchers to select the operational framework and evaluation method of computational thinking.Develop and constantly revise the design principles and teaching strategies of the interdisciplinary problem-driven learning environment is of great significance to the improvement of the development of elementary students' computational thinking. This research also provided the strategic basis and practical guidance for the interdisciplinary development of computational thinking. The shortcomings of this study include the limitations of the scope of the study subjects and the lack of a documented analysis of the collaborative mechanisms in the paired groups. In addition to the improvement of the above deficiencies, the following three aspects can be carried out in the follow-up research. To explore continuously the applicable disciplines, design principles and strategies of this learning environment.Expand the sample size of the research, redesign and develop the interdisciplinary curriculum design of computational thinking and other basic disciplines. To explore the relationship between the internal mechanism of the collaboration between different pair programming groups and the uniqueness of the pair partners,so as to support the heterogeneity of the development path of the pair's computational thinking.
