Freedom is human nature,and everyone desires freedom.But in everyday life,not everyone knows why freedom is needed and what is true freedom.And its awakening cannot be separated from education.Education,as an activity to cultivate people,is also one of its goals.However,modern education is becoming more and more utilitarian and practical,and gradually reduced to a means of imparting practical knowledge and professional skills.The education at this time has lost the freedom to cultivate into a “person”,so it is impossible to talk about the cultivation of individual free personality.Fromm's interpretation of freedom plays an important role in understanding the true meaning of freedom and the irreplaceability of life in life.This article attempts to explain the educational philosophy of Fromm's freedom thought,with a view to providing an explorable way for the realization of human freedom in current education.First,the thesis examines the background of Fromm's free thought.He critically inherited the ideas of Freud and Marx,and combined with the social bad situation at that time,profoundly analyzed the free situation of modern people from the perspective of social psychology.Secondly,the thesis explores Fromm's criticism of the lack of freedom in education.He believes that the reasons for the lack of freedom are mainly manifested in three aspects: the "power" control has led education tobecome instrumental;the "knowledge is power" discipline It led to the lack of love education;the control of "intellectual education" mechanized education.The lack of freedom in education prevents individuals from realizing their potential,self,and positive freedom.Return to freedom is what everyone wants.Thirdly,the thesis elaborated on the basic content of Fromm's free thought.Starting with the duality of freedom,he deeply analyzes that freedom brings independence and loneliness at the same time,and two options for individuals when facing loneliness: escaping freedom and pursuing freedom.He believes that there is a positive freedom,that is,individuals can relate themselves to others through rationality,love and creative activities,and can connect with others while maintaining their independence.Finally,the paper explains Fromm's three ways to achieve individual freedom and attempts to combine education.He believes that reason and love are the source of power to achieve freedom,and creative activity is an important form of expression of freedom.Education must overcome the control of power with reason,soften the power of knowledge with love,and surpass intellectual education with creative labor,so as to ultimately achieve human freedom.Fromm provides us with a possible way to freedom.The thesis aims to educate people who are free by educating and explaining their freedomand combining with education.
