In 2014,General Secretary Xi emphasized during his inspection of Xinjiang 's work:"In the new situation,the overall goal of Xinjiang's work is to maintain social stability and lasting peace and order",and "the most difficult and long-term problem in Xinjiang is ethnic solidarity".Since September of 2015,all primary and secondary schools in Karamay,Xinjiang have launched a new model of mixed classes between the Han and the minority nationality students,that means the Han nationality and minority nationality students in the same class according to the ratio,and all students receive unified Mandarin teaching.Looking back at the history of geography teaching in traditional classrooms in the past three years,students have shown weak learning motivations.The root cause is that students 'geography learning interests have not been effectively developed.In September 2016,Karamay City S Middle School responds to the call for educational transformation,the school uses the "class selection system" as the basic teaching organization form,and each subject is equipped with a specialized subject classroom.It is a hot issue urgent research,that teaching in geography classrooms can effectively improve those who in varies of Mandarin language and with different pre-knowledge backgrounds students'geography learning interest.This article summarizes the general principles and methods for the decoration of subject classrooms,and the methods of geography learning interest for middle school students through the method of literature research.First of all,a pre-test questionnaire survey was conducted on new students entering S Middle School in Karamay City to understand the starting point of geography learning interests of students.Then,according to the relevant principles of geography classroom decoration,the corresponding design and layout of the geography classroom in S Middle School was carried out,and then the teaching practice and after-school student activities were carried out with the geography classroom as the background.Finally,the post-test student questionnaire,student interviews,teacher interviews and other indicators were used to comprehensively analyze the comprehensive impact of geography classroom construction on students' geography learning interest.This paper makes a comparative study of the geography learning interest of students before and after that,it has been found that students' geography learning interest has been greatly improved.Under the background of unified Mandarin education,students' original backgrounds of different learning languages restrict learning efficiency,but with the construction of geography classrooms,colorful teaching aids(such as classroom wall design,display cabinet design,seat layout design),diversified teacher-student interaction activities(such as geographic tabloid production activities,colored clay map exploration activities),they all effectively stimulated students' interest in geography learning,and then improving the quality of geography learning.At the same time,the construction of geography subject classrooms has promoted the development of geography teachers'professional competence,but the overall development of subject classroom construction in the Karamay region is still in its primary stage.
