With the rapid development of information technology,people's work,study and lifestyle have undergone tremendous changes.Traditional learning is gradually changing from focusing on offline learning to an organic combination of offline learning and online learning.The emergence of the Internet has made information exchange faster and more convenient,but information technology has also brought many problems,such as the digital divide and information security.Facing the complicated information world,how to distinguish the authenticity of information and the effective use of information requires contemporary people to possess certain information literacy.Junior high school students are a critical period of life development,and their information literacy level affects their personal development in the future.At present,the information literacy of middle school students is mainly cultivated through school education.At present,schools in China are mainly divided into government-run schools and private-run schools.Due to the different forms of school running,the school may also have differences in the cultivation of students'information literacy.Based on this,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the information literacy level of junior high school students in public and private schools.This study selects two schools(a government-run school and a private-run school)junior high school students in Shouxian County,Anhui Province as the research object.The questionnaire and interview method are used to investigate the information literacy of junior high school students in public and private schools.The questionnaire was collected and analyzed,and the following results were obtained:(1)The overall information literacy level of junior high school students in this area is low.From an average point of view,the information literacy of private school junior high school students is higher than the overall level of the region,while the public school junior high school student information literacy is lower than the overall level of the region.(2)The information literacy of junior high school students in government-run and private-run schools is different in grades.Among them,the gender difference only exists in the information awareness and cognitive dimensions of junior high school students.(3)In the comparative study,junior high school students in government-run schools are lower than junior high school students in private-run schools in terms of both the overall level of information literacy and the dimensions of information literacy.Finally,the researchers analyzed the differences in information literacy between government-run and private-run junior high school students,mainly due to students,schools and families.In response to this situation,strategies and suggestions for improving the information literacy of junior high school students were proposed for public and private schools.It is intended to provide relevant reference and reference for future research on cultivating junior middle school students' information literacy.
