In the revised description of the" General High School Information Technology Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)",it is emphasized that "the project learning design should be infiltrated to highlight the practical characteristics of the information technology curriculum." It can be seen that the goal of the high school information technology curriculum is not only the training of students' skills, but also the training of students' comprehensive information literacy, and project-based teaching will gradually become one of the important forms of information technology curriculum in senior high school. However, during the internship, through the investigation and observation of the current situation of the project-based teaching in the information technology classroom of senior high school, the author found that although the project-based teaching can activate the classroom atmosphere, enrich the teaching content and improve the students'interest in learning to a certain extent. But due to the project-based teaching is carried out in groups,in the teaching process, some students depend on their peers, and their participation is not high or not involved. Therefore, the author refined and improved the group learning in project-based teaching, designed a group learning strategy, and applied it to teaching practice, through the relevant data after the practice to study the influence of the group learning strategy on the students' engagement in the project-based teaching. In this study, students from two classes in the first grade of W high school in H city were taken as the research object, and a six-week project-based teaching was carried out with the theme project of "programming and controlling lights for travel".Based on classroom observations, student assignments and teacher-student interviews, and quantifying student engagement in the two classes according to the student engagement assessment scale, surveying student engagement status, combing factors that affect student engagement, designing group learning strategies, and applying it to teaching practice, using SPSS software to compare the student engagement of the control class with the strategy implementation class and the student engagement before and after the strategy implementation class implements the strategy, the conclusions are as follows:In the project-based teaching of information technology in senior high school, the group learning strategy has obvious effect on improving the engagement of students. It can greatly improve the negative dependence of students with low engagement and inaction within the group, and promote the students with low engagement to gradually change from shallow engagement to middle engagement, and promote the students with medium and good engagement to deep engagement, and improve the breadth and depth of the whole class students' engagement.
