As an important resource for achieving course objectives and teaching,textbooks are the concrete manifestation of course objectives and teaching content,as well as the medium and means of basic education,and play an important role in mathematics education.Analyzing and comparing teaching materials is a good entry point and breakthrough point for understanding the concept and essence of a country's education reform.Comparing different textbooks can not only further improve the current teaching,but also look for factors worth learning in the exploration and improve the compilation of textbooks.In this study,three versions of high school mathematics textbooks(CH-PEP,AM-GLE,and RU-MEP for short)in China,the United States,and Russia were selected,and the trigonometry content in the textbooks was used as the comparison object.The research adopts comparative research,literature analysis and content analysis to analyze the overall layout,style structure,module settings,and knowledge content of the three editions of textbook trigonometry from the three aspects of macro overall layout,meso-style style structure,and micro content structure.,Knowledge connections,learning activities and other aspects of horizontal comparative research,according to the characteristics of the objects involved in the comparison,using different methods of comparison,the following research conclusions were obtained:(1)From the perspective of overall macro design,the layout of the layout of the three editions of textbooks all use color layouts,with pictures and texts.In the text space,the three editions of textbooks have significant differences.AM-GLE and RU-MEP have more space than people's education textbooks,and the number of icons in American textbooks and people's education textbooks is significantly more than RU-MEP textbooks.In terms of style structure,the AM-GLE structure is more abundant,the column setting forms are diverse,and the RU-MEP layout structure is more monotonous.In the order of arrangement,the arrangement of American textbooks and Russian textbooks is separated from geometry and algebra,and trigonometry belongs to the field of algebra.The textbook layout of the PEP is a combination of geometry and algebra,which is divided into modules,and trigonometry belongs to the function module.(2)From the aspect of micro content structure,in the aspect of style structure and initial content setting of chapters,am-gle and ch-pep both have chapter head chart and chapter introduction.Ru-mep textbook does not have chapter head,but before the new lesson of chapter,celebrity famous words are set as the opening part.In the way of introduction,the three editions of textbooks all respect students' thinking development and pay attention to the generation process of knowledge In the aspect of example,the three versions of the textbook have strong foundation and representativeness.The knowledge points are closely related with each other,with a high degree of relevance,detailed answers and differences In other two versions the RU-MEP put the first mock exam in the text,and did not deal with it separately.On exercises,the number of AM-GLE exercises,the type of exercises and the richness of background materials were all higher than those of the other two editions.However,the gradation and systematization of exercises were lower than that of the other two editions.In summary,AM-GLE and CH-PEP had set up a summary of knowledge,and RU-MEP did not set up a chapter summary of this module.AM-GLE.Summary is more focused on knowledge review,more detailed summary,ch-pep is more focused on thinking training,focusing on knowledge review and knowledge system construction.From the perspective of knowledge structure,content presentation,In the first mock exam,the three edition of the textbook can help students to develop knowledge in a spiral way and arrange scientific knowledge and teaching hours scientifically and reasonably,so as to help students develop in an all-round way.They all involve the application of trigonometric functions,the trigonometric identity transformation,and the three modules of trigonometric functions,but only the knowledge processing methods of the same module.There is no significant difference in the total number of knowledge points and the content structure of the three editions of textbooks,but from the statistical data,am-gle textbooks pay more attention to the expansion and horizontal extension of knowledge,ch-pep pays more attention to the understanding and application of knowledge,and the connectivity of knowledge is stronger.Ru-mep pays more attention to the logical relationship and relevance between knowledge,and the foundation is stronger.(3)In the field of learning activities,the three editions of textbooks have significant differences in the three levels of mathematics reading,mathematics exploration,and information technology integration,but no significant differences in the level of mathematics practice.There is no significant difference between the CH-PEP textbook and the AM-GLE textbook in the types and scenarios of mathematical inquiry questions,and there is no significant difference in the distribution and function of information technology between the two editions of the RU-MEP textbook.Based on the comparison of the three editions of the textbook and the reflection on the results,the following suggestions are made for the compilation of the textbook:(1)Properly enrich the problem exploration background and expand knowledge understanding and application;(2)Blending knowledge generation and development,perfecting the construction of the discipline system;(3)Delete topical learning modules in due course,taking into account professional evaluation and growth;(4)Enrich the integration of science and technology and improve information literacy in all aspects;(5)Strengthen the implementation of learning activities planning to ensure the learning process and results.
