| Since the reform and opening up,China's urbanization has made great achievements,but there are also problems of low level and low quality of urbanization development.For this reason,in 2016,Henan Province launched the project of improving the quality of 100 cities,proposed to "transform" the city with culture,tap cultural connotation,inherit cultural memory,and shape the quality and characteristics of the city.Sui County is an ancient town on the Yellow River floodplain.It has a long history,rich cultural relics and complex changes in urban morphology,forming a water area pattern of “Ying-Yang-City”.At present,Sui County is in the stage of rapid development,the city continues to expand outwards,the interior of the large-scale renovation,resulting in the demolition of historical buildings,the disappearance of urban characteristics.How to improve the urban quality and integrate more historical and cultural elements into the urban planning and construction has become one of the important issues in the urban development of Sui County.Facing this situation,the long-term study on the evolution of the urban fringe belt of Sui County is not only to sort out the historical development process of Sui County,but also to provide some inspiration for the protection of the historical landscape in the future.This study chooses Sui County as the research object,based on the theory of urban fringe belt of Conzen,from two aspects of plane pattern and land use type,the evolution process of the fringe belt of the region is analyzed in detail,and the overall characteristics and causes of the evolution of the fringe belt are further explored.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)According to the development process of Sui County,the paper divides four morphological periods:(1)in the initial stage of development(1106-1477),the fringe belt was formed on both sides of the city wall with the old city of Sui County as the center;(2)in the period of coexistence of two cities(1477-1642),the dual urban fringe belt was formed on both sides of the old city wall with the old city of Sui County as the center and the new city as the secondary center;(3)in the period of single center development(1642-1998),taking Sui County new city as the center,forming fringe belts on both sides of the new city wall;(4)in the period of double center development(1998-2019),taking Sui County new city as the center,forming double fringe belts on both sides of Sui County new city wall and moat,the innerfringe belt is formed from the fringe belt of the previous period through alienation,while the outer fringe belt is gradually formed in the outward expansion of the city,partially transformed from the inner fringe belt.(2)There are three characteristics in the evolution process of urban fringe belt in Sui County:the replacement of center and fringe,the transformation of main land use mode,the location of the fringe belt defined by the wall and the moat,and the replacement of center and fringe is the most prominent feature.The evolution of urban fringe belt in Sui County is mainly affected by three factors: the Yellow River flooding,industrial development and urban planning.Before 1949,the flooding of the Yellow River was the direct cause of the change of the fringe belt.After 1949,the development of industrialization became the main cause.Urban planning ran through the evolution of the entire fringe belt.(3)The replacement of the center and the fringe is a unique feature of the ancient town of“Ying-Yang-City” type in the Yellow River floodplain,which was formed under the influence of the flood of the Yellow River.In view of the leaping development mode of this kind of city,when protecting the landscape on the fringe belt,we should not only pay attention to the development of the lake,but also pay attention to the overall protection of the landscape on the fringe belt,which requires some restorative construction. |
