The Design,Development And Application Of Resource Recommendation System In Computer Supported Collaborative Learning

Owing to the challenge of information overload,resource recommendation system has been widely employed in Computer Supported Collaborative Learning(CSCL).Based on social influence theory,this study develops a resource recommendation strategy for learning group.After that,this study develops an online collaborative learning resource recommendation system,and proves the effectiveness of this system in the practice of CSCL.Throughout a quasi-experimental research on "LearninginZJU",thisstudy selected the learning unit of Multimedia Courseware Making in Modern Education Technology as the teaching material to design learning tasks.By controlling different pre-and post-test,this study explored the effects of the experimental interventionon learner's performance and attitude.This study finds that the application of resource recommendation system haspositive effectson leaner'scollaborative learning performance,collaborative learning behavior,resource searching behavior and learning attitude.For learners who use the resource recommendation system,first,they have a significant promotion in scores of learning task and collaborative degree.Second,they show an obvious increase in the time of using group discussion tool,as well as the aggressiveness of participation in discussion.Third,they save the time of searching resource,and have high confidence in this system,since it can satisfy their information seeking demand.Last,they also show high technic acceptance and learning satisfaction,and demonstrate strong willingness to use this system continuously.This study introduces personalized factors,professional factors,social relationship factors and user intimacy factors into the group recommendation,and it proposes a new CSCL resource recommendation algorithm,as well as a recommendation system based on this algorithm.Thus,this study provides inspiration and suggestion for the future development of CSCL resource recommendation system.
