The "Opinions on Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Tasks of the formation of character and develop people " promulgated by the Ministry of Education clearly states that the key competencies of student development needs to be given priority attention.To implement the goal of the formation of character and develop people,we must put the cultivation of key competencies into the basic position of curriculum reform and deepen the reform of curriculum.The new round of curriculum reform has received special attention from the education community.The key to this reform is to build and perfect the core literacy system of various disciplines and cultivate the key competencies of student development.The key competencies of biology emphasizes the necessary characters and key abilities obtained by students through biology courses,including four aspects: life concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry,and social responsibility.Scientific inquiry not only helps students to understand the essence of the subject,but also promotes students to improve their inquiry skills.Therefore,scientific inquiry is the cornerstone and bridge for teachers to cultivate students 'core qualities.The construction of the index system of "scientific inquiry" of the key competencies of biology discipline adopts the qualitative research method that takes root theory.First of all,consult the existing scientific inquiry periodical literature,relevant national policy documents,and domestic and foreign research on scientific inquiry,and adopt three types of coding methods: open,Spindle and selective.The author encodes the elements of "scientific inquiry" and initially constructs the index system of "scientific inquiry".After that,10 middle school science teachers were interviewed,and the interview text was coded to improve the "scientific inquiry" indicator system;Finally,Delphi method is used to consult experts to ensure the rationality of the "scientific inquiry" indicator system.The "scientific inquiry" indicator system formed by the study includes six first-level indicators: "ask questions," "make assumptions," "formulate plans," "implement plans," "draw conclusions," and "explore spirit." The primary indicators are broken down into 12 secondary indicators and 26 tertiary indicators.The construction of the index system of "scientific inquiry" of the key competencies of biology can make the "scientific inquiry" in the core accomplishment more clear and specific in the form of indicators,which can provide reference for the teaching work of high school biology teachers.Teachers can combine the index system of "scientific inquiry" with the biology course,and can better reflect on how to cultivate the key competencies of scientific inquiry needed by students in daily teaching work.Finally,on the basis of the index system of "scientific inquiry",this paper analyzes the content of textbooks that can develop students ' key competencies of "scientific inquiry" in the textbooks of human education high school biology.The application of the index system of "scientific inquiry" for the key competencies of biology is explored.
