A Study Of The Main Factors Affecting The Development Of The "Campus Tennis" Project In Henan Province And The Countermeasures

In order to promote the comprehensive reform of school sports,develop campus tennis programs,and guide students to master one or two sports skills,the Ministry of Education decided to launch a national pilot work on youth campus tennis.In 2018,the Ministry of Education issued a notice on building national pilot schools for youth campus tennis,and issued specific standards and methods.In 2018,a total of 285 primary and secondary schools nationwide were confirmed by the Ministry of Education as pilot national characteristic schools for youth campus tennis,of which there were 32 pilot schools in Henan Province,covering Zhengzhou,Luoyang and Kaifeng.And 26 primary and secondary schools applied for the national characteristic schools for youth campus tennis.The development of the campus tennis project can further strengthen the physical education curriculum and extra-curricular exercises in primary and secondary schools,and effectively improve the students' physical fitness.Basing on interview,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,this article takes 40 primary and secondary schools as the research subjects that participated in the first Henan Province Tennis Championship in 2019,and focuses on the study of the sustainable development of the campus tennis project in Henan Province.The relevant factors are analyzed and countermeasures are discussed,hence theoretical accumulation and experience exploration are carried out for the development of the campus tennis project in Henan Province.The main conclusions of the study:1.The strong support of government functional departments and policy support are the decisive factors in the effective implementation of Henan Province's campus tennis project.2.The ability and level of professional tennis instructors is the dominant factor for the smooth development of campus tennis project.3.The key factor of campus tennis project is to actively promote campus tennis and cultivate students' interest and participation in tennis.4.Dealing with the relationship between learning and training and winning the support of students' parents is an important factor for the smooth development of campus tennis project.5.The court,facilities and funds for campus tennis are the basic guarantee factors.According to the survey,the funds for the development of the campus tennis project in Henan Province in 2019 comes from four areas of support: the provincial Department of Education,school,family and society.The majority of campus tennis courts adopt the method used jointly with other ball courts for teaching and training,which is still far from the planning of the court facilities required by The Basic Standards of National Characteristic Schools for Youth Campus Tennis.6.The scientific and reasonable sparetime training,interlocking and interconnected competition systems are the guarantee factors to improve the quality of sparetime tennis training on campus.The orderly and standardized success of the first Henan Province Tennis Championship in 2019 has laid a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the campus tennis project in Henan Province.7.The construction of joint tennis training system both inside and outside the school is the promotion factor for rapid improvement of the level of tennis training on campus.Making full use of off-campus tennis professional coaches,teachers,and institutions to jointly develop campus tennis players,this model can make the society,schools,students,and tennis careers achieve win-win situations.Countermeasures and Suggestions:1.Strengthen the attention of leaders at all levels,strengthen the construction of campus tennis management system,and effectively implement the requirements and standards of the Ministry of Education regarding the development of campus tennis project.2.Improve effectively the professional ability and level of tennis instructors,and intensify the tennis teachers' training.3.Construct scientifically the sparetime training system of campus tennis,establish and improve the national,provincial,municipal,district,and school competition systems at all levels.Expand furtherly the number of schools and students with tennis characteristics on campus,improve continuously the quality of tennis players,and explore actively the channels of further education and employment for student tennis players.4.Establish rules and regulations,standardize the management,and increase investment in the school tennis court,facilities,and funds,so as to ensure the normal and orderly development of tennis on campus.5.Construct scientifically the campus tennis training model both inside and outside the school.Make full use of social tennis resources,and promote actively the model of cooperation between schools and off-campus tennis institutions to develop students.Realize the one-stop system for school tennis training.It is recommended that the educational function departments should organize college teachers or professional tennis coaches who have been engaged in tennis teaching for a long time to visit the school regularly,and provide theoretical and technical guidance to the tennis teachers in primary and secondary schools.6.Strengthen the scientific and dynamic management of campus tennis project.While increasing the number of the characteristic schools for youth campus tennis at various levels,the establishment of supervision and management mechanism during the construction process should be strengthened.
