exchanges.Enhancing the Chinese national identity of our citizens has the important role of enhancing national cohesion;safeguarding China's social stability;and promoting the development of the Chinese nation.Young people are nationally prosperous,young people are strong,and college students are responsible for national rejuvenation.Their sense of identity with the Chinese nation is closely linked to the future and destiny of the country and the nation.Enhancing the Chinese national identity of college students is the basic means of carrying forward and cultivating the spirit of the Chinese nation.It is the cornerstone for realizing the Chinese nation's great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream and an important way to promote socialist ideological and moral construction and spiritual civilization.Only by enhancing the recognition of contemporary Chinese students to the Chinese nation can they further inspire their Chinese national sentiments and let them consciously establish their responsibility for building a socialist cause.To lay a solid foundation for the Chinese dream of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The youngest municipality in Chongqing is the bridgehead in the west of the Belt and Road.Chongqing students play an important role in telling the story of China and spreading the voice of China.This paper starts with the status quo of Chinese national identity of college students in Chongqing,analyzes the differences and reasons of Chinese national identity in Chongqing,and focuses on the countermeasures and ways to improve the Chinese nationalidentity.Through the overall grasp of the Chinese national identity of contemporary college students in Chongqing,I hope to enrich the relevant theories of Chinese college students' sense of Chinese identity,and provide more research perspectives for cultivating and improving the Chinese national identity of college students,and promote the further development of relevant research.Thereby the following structure is formed.In the introduction part,the theoretical materials on the study of Chinese national identity at home and abroad are sorted out.It mainly explains the research background,research significance,research status,research ideas,research methods,possible innovations and deficiencies of the article.The first part clarifies the concepts related to Chinese national identity and explores the practical significance of enhancing the identity of the Chinese nation.This paper systematically analyzes related concepts and theoretical foundations such as identity and Chinese national identity,and provides theoretical support for subsequent research.And from the enhancement of cultural identity,to create a sense of the Chinese nation's community;to enhance the historical mission of college students;to further strengthen the cohesiveness of the Chinese nation;to better safeguard the unity of the motherland,to promote national unity and other dimensions,to analyze the practical significance of enhancing the Chinese national identity of college students.The second part is an empirical analysis of college students in Chongqing.Through the questionnaire survey,the research obtains the first-hand information of the status quo of Chinese national identity in Chongqing.According to the collected questionnaires,data statistics and analysis were made through SPSS analysis software,and the status quo of Chinese national identity of Chongqing university students was mastered.It is concluded that the students of Chongqing have higher recognition of the Chinese nation as a whole;most college students in Chongqing have higher emotional identity;most of the students in Chongqing have a strong sense of national honor and other aspects of the Chinese national identity of Chongqing university students.For example,some college students have a weak historical and cultural identity;a few college students lack patriotic emotional rationality;some college students have a weak sense of responsibility in the era.Finally,the author analyzes the reasons that affect the Chinese national identity of Chongqing university students,mainly the impact of Western bad social thoughts;the penetration of various hostile forces ideology;the invasion of bad phenomena during social transition;and the importance and effectiveness of Chinese national identity education in colleges and universities These four aspects need to be improved.The third part puts forward specific opinions and paths to enhance the Chinese national identity of Chinese college students.Colleges and universities can strengthen the education of Chinese national identity and create a sense of the Chinese nation's community;social organizations fully tap the historical and cultural resources to stimulate the sense of responsibility of college students;College students' awareness of Chinese national identity,building a Chinese national spiritual home.Strengthen the education of Chinese national consciousness of college students,strengthen the identity of the Chinese nation,carry out extensive national practice activities,broaden the horizon of Chinese national identity of college students,actively integrate social historical and cultural resources,build a regional area for the recognition of Chinese nationalities,effectively use the National Day of Celebration,and enhance the Chinese students' Chinese National identity and so on.In the conclusion part,we summarize the conclusions of this
