As a basic national policy of our country,gender equality has promoted the development of gender equality to a large extent,but the realization of gender equality is not only reflected in the improvement of women's social status,but also depends on the transformation and development of individual gender role attitude.In recent years,many scholars have obtained rich research results in the theory,trend of change,and influencing factors of gender role attitudes.This study will explore the changing trend of gender role attitudes in China and the impact of media use frequency on gender role attitude of the youth.This study is based on the data of China General Social Survey(CGSS),firstly,we explores the overall status and changing trends of gender role attitudes in Chinese youth.The study found that the gender role attitudes of the young tends to be modernized,but there is a resurgence trend in the three aspects of equal employment attitude,ability attitudes and family labor division attitudes,and it begins to develop into traditional.Secondly,it researches the influence factors of gender role attitude from three aspects-individual characteristics(which includes gender,household registration,years of schooling,employment status and marriage experience),family factors(parents' years of education,parents'political appearance,parents'employment status),media use factors(the degree of newspaper use,the degree of television use and the degree of Internet use)through multiple regression analysis and other methods.The study found that parents' years of education have a negative effect on the gender role attitudes of the young people.The degree of use of newspapers,the degree of use of television,and the degree of Internet use have a significant impact on the gender role attitudes of the young people.The more frequently use newspapers and the Internet,their gender role attitudes is more modernization,the more often watch television,the young people tend to be more traditional in their gender role attitudes.Finally,we further investigated the specific impact of media usage factors on the gender role attitudes of male and female youth groups.The results show that television usage has a significant impact on male groups' gender role attitudes,and there is no significant impact on female groups' gender role attitudes,and the degree of Internet use have no significant impact on male groups' gender role attitudes and have a significant impact on the female groups' gender role attitudes.
