Sport has always been involved in the wave of politics,engraved with the political mark of particular historical period.In 1959,the ruling authorities organized the strength of the whole country for hosting the first national games,to show people sports achievement since PRC(People's Republic of China)was born,"The first national games" turned to be the field,where can build political identity,depict the collective memory,and transfer the feeling of patriotism.To start from the political tradition of the Chinese sports,this thesis discusses traditions' influence on the sports career,reveals the potential political logic of Chinese sports,analyzes of the history background of the "The first national games"systematically.New China faced the threats of "two Chinas" and "the soviet-sino split",mired in the troubles of "anti-rightist struggle" and "national stagnation",The communist regime tried to host the games on its own,to enhance the political identity,so as to consolidate legitimacy.In general,"The first national games" is the active choice that the party made,which stood at the historical node.Among the process of constructing political identity,the communist regime always stick to the leadership of the party,built the sense of ceremony and shaped the athletes'model,highlighted the contrastive rhetoric of political propaganda,and finally established the new look of sports development;At the same time,the party has constructed its political identity by depicting collective memory,strengthening the ideology and utilizing heroic description.As the manifestation of the sports politicization,"The first national games" has promoted the growth of new China,and accumulated legal resources meaningfully.
