Prosocial behavior is an important basis for people to maintain a good relationship in the process of communication,an important embodiment of national quality, and an internal requirement of a harmonious society. It is of great significance to the development of individuals.High school is an important period to establish world outlook, outlook on life and values. It is of great practical significance to study the prosocial behavior of high school students.Previous studies have found that high school students' level of prosocial behavior is influenced by a variety of factors.Among them, parenting style is an important influencing factor, but the research results on the influence of different dimensions of parenting style on prosocial behavior are inconsistent,so it is likely that some variables regulate the relationship between them.According to the hypothesis of emotional security, maintaining and increasing emotional security is an important goal for individuals to initiate behaviors. If enough emotional security is obtained, individuals will show adaptive behaviors, such as prosocial behaviors. However, when an individual is faced with a threatening situation(such as negative evaluation),negative consequences may be induced.Based on previous studies, this study hypothesizes that fear of negative evaluation plays a moderating role in the influence of parenting style on prosocial behavior. With 850 high school students as subjects, this study explored the relationship between parental rearing style and pro-social behavior of high school students,as well as the moderating effect of negative evaluation fear, with the tools of adolescent prosocial behavior tendency scale, parenting style scale and negative evaluation fear questionnaire.Through the test of independent samples, correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and other statistical methods, the following conclusions are drawn:1.The prosocial behavior of high school students is above average. There was no significant difference in gender, grade and place of birth in prosocial behavior.2.In parental rearing style, emotional warmth of mother and emotional warmth of father are significantly positively correlated with prosocial behavior of high school students, while refusal of mother is significantly negatively correlated with prosocial behavior of high school students. The fear of negative evaluation was significantly negatively correlated with the prosocial behavior of high school students.Overprotection of mother and overprotection of father were significantly positively correlated with negative evaluation fear, while emotional warmth of father was significantly correlated with negative evaluation fear.3.The fear of negative evaluation has a moderating effect on the prediction of prosocial behavior on the two dimensions of maternal emotional warmth and paternal emotional warmth, which shows that although the maternal emotional warmth and paternal emotional warmth in the high and low negative evaluation group can positively predict prosocial behavior. But the low-negative rating group was more predictive.
