With the reform and opening up and the reform of state-owned enterprises,Danwei has gradually disappeared.The changes of Danwei not only affects the changes of social structure,but also affects the change of Danwei identity of workers in stateowned enterprises.Danwei identity is the identity and emotional dependence of the Danwei person on the organization itself and on the internal members of Danwei.During the period of social transformation,the traditional Danwei identity has been weakened,resulting in social instability and reduced social trust.However,there is no new collective identity model in our society that meets the requirements of the times.Understanding the changing trends and development status of Danwei identification is of great significance for thinking about how to reshape the new collective identity model and improve social cohesion and identity.At present,the research on Danwei in the academic circles mainly focuses on the macro perspective,and lacks a micro perspective on the life of Danwei person.This study attempts to bring the “Danwei person” into the research perspective of Danwei,and takes the T factory of a chemical industry in Shanxi Province as an example through in-depth interviews with 26 workers from different generations in T factory.The process of development and change reveals the different characteristics of Danwei identity at different stages,and analyzes the social factors behind the construction of this trait,and then understands the changes of Danwei and its impact on individual life.Through the investigation,we found that the identity of the three generations of Danwei people in T factory experienced a trend of rising first and then falling back.The construction of Danwei identity experienced the process of “establishing – consolidating and strengthening – differentiation”.In the era of entrepreneurship,the first generation of T factory formed a higher sense of Danwei identity.Their identity to Danwei is self-conscious and unconditional acceptance,which is a special form of national identity.During the consolidation of Danwei system,Danwei identity of the T factory workers agreed to further consolidate and strengthen.Their recognition of Danwei is more derived from Danwei life emotion,and emotion is the basis for constructing their Danwei identity.During this period,the T factory workers' recognition of Danwei reached its peak;since Danwei system was dissolved,Danwei identity of the third-generation T factory has become increasingly weak,the interest identity is the base that constructed Danwei identity.Danwei identification has differentiated,the identity of workers has important influence to Danwei identity.This paper found that the construction of Danwei identity is result of comprehensive effect of various social elements.The system of Danwei is the decisive factor to construct Danwei identity,social comparison also impacted the construction of Danwei identity.From the perspective of Danwei space,the living mode of combination of works and residence is conductive to the integration of collectivism and sense of belonging within Danwei,while the dissolution of the social and cultural functions of Danwei also deeply affects the changes of workers' Danwei identity.In the process of Danwei identity change,what unchanged is the complex of Danwei community shared by the three generations of T factory workers,this community complex will not disappeared within short time,it still will remain in Danwei and influence all the aspects of workers in life.
