In recent years,the application of HPS(history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science)in the education of specific subjects has become a research hotspot.HPS education is to integrate the content of history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science into classroom teaching,and it has been universally recognized for its educational value in improving students' understanding of the nature of science and cultivating their scientific literacy.The focus of this study is how to effectively integrate the concept of HPS education and related content into science teaching in junior high school,so as to effectively improve students' scientific literacy.This study is based on the HPS education concept of junior high school science curriculum teaching design and empirical research.First of all,the author through the literature review to the HPS education idea,the HPS teaching design a clear definition of the core concepts related to,combing the domestic and foreign related research progress of HPS into science teaching,from the theory stratification plane to the value of HPS into junior middle school science curriculum and found that there is insufficient research,practice school students through questionnaire,hangzhou and surrounding junior high school science teachers,teachers and students were discussed from practical level understanding of HPS related education teaching content and the present situation,focusing on the research question.Secondly,the author use HPS content category analysis table,found in the junior middle school science curriculum standards,junior middle school science textbooks HPS content,summing up the three forms of scientific historical data(story,inquiry and column),combining the study guide-"teaching mode with the HPS teaching mode,to improve the HPS education teaching mode,put forward from" teaching design preparation,implementation and evaluation of "three stages of the design strategy of teaching.Finally,according to the teaching strategy,the author adopts the "HPS education and teaching mode" for case design,and conducts empirical research on three different types of cases: "light and color--special historical materials of science","magnetoelectricity--special historical materials of science" and "atomic structure model--story historical materials of science".This study also introduced the revised "HPS education and teaching mode" into specific teaching.The empirical study shows that "HPS education and teaching mode" has an obvious effect on the improvement of students' scientific literacy.
