Research On The Development Of Dehong Dai Martial Arts

Taking the development of Dai martial arts in Dehong Prefecture of Yunnan Province as the research object,the author has made a detailed investigation from the origin of the Dehong martial arts to the development status of the Dehong Dai martial arts.This paper chooses the field investigation method,the literature document method,and the interview method.In the Dehong area,we interviewed Dai people's martial arts inheritors.After the completion of the investigation,the logic analysis method was used to analyze the development of the Dai martial arts in Dehong Prefecture.In the process of completing the thesis,a large number of physics,anthropology,and culture were reviewed.The books on ethnology and history,applying the theoretical knowledge learned combined with the situation of the field investigation,drawing the following conclusions:First,There are many reasons for the Dehong Dai martial arts.The history of the Dai nationality records,the early cultural sites,and the unique geographical environment of Dehong Prefecture,and even infers the origin of the Dehong Dai martial arts from the simple stories and colorful myths of the Dai people,concluding that Dehong Dai martial arts starts from the Bronze Age,4000 to 1000 years ago from now.Second,The early Dehong Dai martial arts only had actual combat skills.With the development of history,the Dai martial arts evolved into a routine performance.Combining with the historical social system of the Dai people,this paper divides the Dehong Dai martial arts into the following four periods: 1.The primitive society period 2.The parent slavery society period 3.The feudal lord(landlord)system social period 4.The modernization period.The Dai martial arts have played their own functions in different periods,showing a unique charm.Thirdly,The change of social system is the primary condition for the change of Dehong Dai martial arts.The richness of material economy is the basis for the survival of Dehong Dai martial arts.The mysterious religious color changes the development of Dehong Dai martial arts in essence.The Dehong Dai martial arts culture is colorful,with peacock culture,elephant culture and water culture.Nowadays,there are four kinds of boxing techniques for Dehong Dai martial arts: peacock boxing,elephant boxing,pit boxing,and four-door boxing.There are two kinds of instruments: Dai people's sticks and Dai people's knife.The inheritance of the Dehong Dai martial arts is the inheritance from the masters to apprentices and it has the regulation that it is taught to the outside instead of the inside.Fourth,Nowadays,there are many problems in the development of Dehong Dai martial arts: 1.Modern fast-paced lifestyle restricts the development of Dai martial arts;2.Dehong Dai martial arts had talent storage fault;3.Dehong has no professional platform;4.Dehong local government does not pay enough attention to Dai martial arts;5.Some Dai martial arts projects are endangered.Fifth,As to the confusion faced by Dehong Dai martial arts,the following countermeasures are proposed: 1.Dehong Dai martial arts combined with modern martial arts;2.Training local Dai martial arts inheritors;3.Establishing a professional Dai martial arts platform in Dehong;4.Raising the attention of government departments;5.Enhance the cultural attributes of Dai martial arts;6.Use the new era app software and self-media platform to broaden people's cognitive channels for Dai martial arts.
