The educational objectives of the compulsory education chemistry curriculum stipulate that: chemistry education “not only guides students to more comprehensively understand the changing laws of the material world,but also helps students better adapt to modern social life and improve students' scientific literacy”.The core literacy of the chemistry discipline is the scientific literacy that has the characteristics of chemistry and is implemented at the level of chemistry.How to cultivate students' chemistry in the teaching process is an issue that middle school chemistry teachers must take into consideration.Therefore,this paper takes “teaching design and practice based on core literacy of chemistry disciplines” as the research topic.Based on the design and practice of middle school chemistry teaching,this paper applies the following methods,including literature data,questionnaire survey,experimental research and case analysis as the main research methods.This paper analyzes the status quo of domestic and foreign researches based on the core literacy of chemistry,defines the related concepts,and expounds the theoretical basis of the core literacy teaching design based on chemistry.The paper conducts the teaching design and the practical research with the teaching materials like The Humanities Edition Compulsory Education“Chemistry”textbook,the third module 1 “Molecule and Atom”,the sixth unit 3 “Carbon and carbon oxides”,the eighth unit 2 “Chemical properties of metals”,the tenth Unit 2,“Neutralization Reaction of Acids and Alkali”,and other content and course types.In the form of questionnaires,the core knowledge,core competence,core attitudes,and core concepts are studied before and after.With the comparison of the core literacy and chemical scores of the chemical subjects in the experimental class and the control class,the applicability of different teaching design methods to different teaching contents and course types is analyzed.The research results show that the inquiry teaching design and the “ educational case ” teaching design can help students master core knowledge,enhance core competence,develop core attitudes,cultivate core concepts,and enhance students' core literacy of chemistry.In the actual teaching,the teaching design should be based on the content of the chemistry teaching and the class type,so as to effectively assist the students to improve the core literacy of the chemistry discipline.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions on the deficiencies and problems in the research process from students,teachers and other aspects,and forecasts the research of chemistry inquiry teaching and “learning case” teaching in middle school chemistry teaching.
