| Chinese traditional teaching materials for enlightenment education has been the pulse of the extensive and profound Chinese traditional culture,and records the historical track of the development of enlightenment education in the past five thousand years.The Children’s Knowledge Treasury,written by Cheng Dengji in the end of Ming Dynasty and added by Zou Shengmai during the reign’s period of Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty,was once popular throughout the country and became a well-known enlightenment education reading material.With its extensive content,parallel style and antithesis rhyme,it is unique among many textbooks of enlightenment education.That explains why it has unique educational research value and important enlightening significance for contemporary Chinese education.In respect of the layout method and content characteristics,it had so many cognitive educational functions for Chinese education as literacy teaching,vocabulary teaching,reading training,writing training,and such humanistic education functions as providing ambition and personality,ethics and harmony as well as the spiritual belief of natural laws and humanity.Its value for contemporary Chinese education is also extensive,including paying attention to basic teaching,emphasizing knowledge development,adhering to the educational concept of "child-centered" and adhering to the educational purpose of "building people by virtue".As for its value,we should actively learn from its textbook compilation concept,content selection principle and teaching method,and develop it as auxiliary reading materials in and out of Chinese class in primary school.Of course,it has historical limitations.Therefore,we should take the essence while discarding the dross.Through the study of the book,the essence of enlightenment education materials and the excellent traditional culture will be absorbed,inherited and developed by contemporary Chinese education.This article includes three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.The introduction part,including the following four aspects: research background,research significance,literature review,research methods and ideas,analyses the reasons and significance of selection of the topic,introduces the books consulted in the preparation process of the paper and the research summary of The Children’s Knowledge Treasury in the academic papers,and on this basis,clarifies the research methods and ideas that this paper will use.The main body consists of four parts.The first part is the analysis of style characteristics of the Book,including the editors and their versions,the background of the Book,the arrangement method,the content characteristics,as well as the overall cognition of the content of the Book.The second part elaborates on the cognitive education function and humanistic education function of the Book,in which the cognitive education function elaborates from four aspects: literacy teaching function,vocabulary teaching function,reading training function and writing training function,and the humanistic education is analyzes from three perspectives: cultivation,morality and traditional culture.The third part of the article focuses on the Book’s value for contemporary Chinese education under the background of on contemporary Chinese education reform,namely analyzing and referencing from the following four perspectives: focusing basic teaching,laying attention to knowledge development,adhering to the educational concept of “child-orientation” and upholding the educational purpose of “fostering character and civic virtue ”.The fourth part is about the conception of utilization and development of the Book’s value,starting from the discussion of the value development and utilization of the Book from two perspectives of teaching material compilation idea,the content and the teaching method,and the teaching auxiliary reading material textbook compilation and teaching auxiliary reading materials and ending by putting forward the historical limitations of the Book.The conclusion further summarizes the Book’s important guidance and reference significance to contemporary Chinese education as a enlightenment teaching material.We should be objective and dialectical view to the Book,taking the essence and discarding the dregs. |
