Research On The Group Social Work Intervention In The Spiritual Care For The Substitute Object

With the deepening of reform and development and the profound adjustment of the economic and social structure,the demand and interest appeal of the preferential target are personalized and diversified.Relying solely on administrative management within the government system,it has been unable to meet the needs of the increasingly personalized and diversified services of the excellent clients.The current special care policy which is more emphasis on material security,but there is not enough attention to mental life.As a special group of elderly people,the substitute objects have a deep feeling of military service.But as they get older,They feel that society has forgotten them.What’s more,with the separation of the families that they formed and the lack of community support systems,corresponding cultural and recreational resources,their lives become more and more lonelier,and the lack of mental care is serious.Firstly,through a survey of clients during the internship in the city of L,aims to estimate the need of the spiritual care of the substitute objects.I elaborate the dilemma which the welfare object face,and analyze and evaluate the needs of the substitute objects about spiritual care.I found that their needs mainly in this areas such as Social entertainment,Spiritual comfort,Support network,respect and self-fulfilment.Secondly,according to the need of the mental care for the key preferential objects,the passage was designed by the "Glory Years,Veteran Legends" Life Story Group which the nature of the group is supportive of the group.The author carries out five sections of group activities by using Erickson’s eight stages of personality development and life review theory.The respective themes of the five group activities are: The marks of childhood,Military career,Demobilization and return,Hairy years,Golden Life.According to the group to help the substitute objects remember some important moments in their life during the supportivegroup atmosphere.In addition,help the substitute objects discover their abilities,find the meaning of life and the value of real life,restore the confidence of the old days.What’s more,let them accept events that have occurred,achieve the self-improvement of life and the group goal of spiritual care.Finally,by advancing the group social work intervention,and on the basis of assessment,summary and reflection,the author finally reaches a conclusion about the research,then point out the shortcomings of this study.By doing these to provide practical experience and ideas for practical intervention of social work,which in order to improve and innovate the service model of special care social work.
