Applied Research On Social Work Intervening In Social Support Of Prisoners In Y Town Community

Community correction has the dual attributes of punishment execution and correction.It focuses on the trinity of supervision,correction and service and emphasizes the use of various social resources to supervise and manage the community prisoners and to transform their bad behaviors,so that they can return to society smoothly.In the actual community correction process,the social support network of community prisoners faces many problems,and it is difficult to meet the needs of community prisoners,which makes social correction lose its meaning.As a social force for community correction,social workers should not only provide support directly to community prisoners,such as psychological counseling,employment training,etc.,but should also assist community prisoners to establish and improve social support systems.This study takes Y town as an example to study the social support status of the prisoners in the community and its problems,and explores the application of social work methods to the establishment of social support networks for community prisoners.The research is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the purpose of the research and the research methods,and sorts out the relevant literature referred to the social support of the prisoners in the community.The second part is to analyze the current situation and existing problems of social support for prisoners in the community.The third part is the focus of this study.On the one hand,this article uses casework methods to help community prisoners recover and build social support networks.On the other hand,this paper uses the group work method to carry out six group activities for the community prisoners to help the team members relieve psychological pressure,adapt to the life of community correction,and establish a mutual help network between the team members.To summarize the full text,thefollowing conclusions are drawn:The social support status of prisoners in rural communities is not optimistic;the professional methods of social work have certain intervention space and effect on the construction of social support for community prisoners;“acceptance status” is the basis for the change of community prisoners;informal society supports serving sentences in rural communities.People play an important role in the process of returning to society.The article affirms the role and effect of social work methods in the establishment of social support networks for prisoners in the community,and on this basis,puts forward practical suggestions for social work intervention.
