Research On The Construction Of School Material Culture

In the 1980 s,our country took the school culture as a social science research object to carry on the deep level discussion.School culture consists of spirit culture,material culture,system culture and behavior culture.Therefore,school material culture is not only an important part of school culture,but also the carrier of school culture.School material culture is a material product jointly created by school personnel after a certain period of time.It is the comprehensive expression of school economic value and social value,with a certain historical,scientific,artistic and educational nature.In2006,the ministry of education issued the "Suggestions for vigorously strengthen primary and middle school campus culture notice,which has a clear requirement on the school’s material and cultural construction: the primary and middle school campus culture construction should take students as the main body,with an emphasis on optimization,to beautify the campus cultural environment,so that the students in the good campus cultural environment,natural environment edify sentiment,promote their all-round development and healthy growth".A good material environment not only guarantees the smooth development of educational activities for teachers and students,but also directly or indirectly affects the development of students’ physical and mental health,the mastery of knowledge and skills,and the cultivation of world outlook,outlook on life and values.Based on school material culture,institutional culture adds internal strength,spiritual culture creates brand,and activity culture creates characteristics,which has become a successful measure to promote the sustainable development of basic education.Therefore,it is very important to strengthen the construction of material culture in primary schools.This study took Kangbashi experimental primary school in Ordos city,Inner Mongolia autonomous region as the research object,and conducted a case study on the material and cultural construction of the school by comprehensive application of survey method,literature research method,interview method and case analysis method.Based on the existing theories related to the construction of school material culture,this study firstly makes a brief introduction to Kangbashi experimental primary school.Combined with the actual situation,this paper introduces the layout of the school,the campus environment and the symbolic material and cultural construction.And analyzed Kangbashi experimental primary school material culture construction process;To find out the satisfaction degree of teachers and students to the material culture construction of the school by means of investigation;Summarized Kangbashi experimental primary school material culture construction achievements.And combine the actual situation to get the corresponding enlightenment.Finally,it reflects on the existing problems in the material and cultural construction of Kangbashi experimental primary school.
